AR Huzgr Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Went out with my wife, just for a few hours to watch eclipse from the boat. On water about 12:30 and off about 3. Didn't travel too far from ramp, maybe a mile or so. Eclipse was nice. I saw totality in 2017. That is much better but lake wind did calm I thought and temp dropped maybe 10 deg or so during. As for fish, I didn't think the eclipse changed any behavior but in the 2.5 hours or so caught 12 smallmouth, all less than 15 in until the end. Told my wife 5 more casts and got another big smallmouth in about 17 ft water. 20 in, 3.7 lb. Wt was 55-56 towards back of windy coves. rps, dpitt, MarkG52 and 9 others 12
