I've seen some damaged motors due to not winterizing them.  Mine is garage kept and I don't use it in winter.   If I was to have it on a trip (Jigfest) in December,  what would be the best way to protect it between uses multiple days in possibly freezing weather?   I considered a can of compressed air to blow into the pee hoke, and force out water.

I would top off/check the lower unit lube to ensure no water is present, and run any gas out of the carb, and ensure all water is drained from the cooling system or just store vertically.  Outboards require much less attention for overwintering than IO or inboard engines.
