AR Huzgr
Tough walleye morning. Water temp dropped about 3-4 deg from last week to 77 deg. That must have messed up the walleye as I went to about 8-10 spots and didn't get one. In fact, I really didn't see much of anything on chart plotter. Not even bluegill. Last spot I did mark fish deep, as in 33-40 ft but I think most were bluegill or yellow bass. Tried different methods and also some back in Creek arms. Did get a few bass but that's it. Had same experience last year - after Labor Day walleye get tough. Time for smallmouth I think! Lance34 and snagged in outlet 3
rps
This time of year is always tough. What walleye I found were flat on the bottom on deep channel edges. I could not "see" them on the sonar and had to fish at known locations. I usually used crawler tipped jigs fished very slowly or patiently jigging spoons until they gave up and ate them. AR Huzgr
Great outing and good looking fish! I'm still finding them elusive, went out Thursday and could only get bass and catfish. I was able to mark a lot of fish that had walleye indicators, in the same depth zone you were catching but slick calm and bluebirds sky didn't help. Saw the thermocline still there at about 36 ft. 77deg snagged in outlet 3

When it finally hits bottom, retrieve it very very slowly without lifting it. (scrub a grub) Alternatively use your troll motor to drag it a .4 to .5 mph. Walleye love Neds and when they won't hit at a normal speed, first try real slow. If that won't work try a Norman Deep Diver 22 at 30'+ feet at 3mph. rps
Another thing to try. Fish the channel edge or part of the slope as it goes to the channel. Quillback

That's where I found them last week, a tapering slope close to channel, but some were shallower as in 18-22 ft. Where do you buy your spinner rig materials/slow death hooks from?
