Members Riverbound Posted September 30 Members Posted September 30 Taking a rip to LOZ in 2 weeks. Staying much further south than I've ever been. I was hoping to take a trip up the Little Niangua arm. I noticed there are houses and docks pretty far up - as far as he seemingly defunct Little Niangua Campground. I also see hat the average depth in that area is in the ball park of 10'. So, my question is....can one run up fairly far safely or is it just loaded with stumps, etc? I run the Pomme River on Pomme de Terre fairly often - enough to know that you'd better know it well or your going to be shopping for a new prop! Thanks. Bassmaster P
Lvn2Fish Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Once you take that last bend and start heading southwest is where I start to get uneasy about it. I’m sure you can run on up from there but it’s not going to be without risk .
Members Riverbound Posted October 1 Author Members Posted October 1 The last bend, as in...you can see the big island in the distance? That would be great. I could darm near idle in the rest of the way. Thanks for the help.
fishinwrench Posted October 1 Posted October 1 At the current lake level you can easily get to the Jrd. bridge......but you've gotta stay in the channel near the left bank going up.
Dewayne French Posted October 8 Posted October 8 I have run it several times in a basscat with a 250 just pay attention as wrench has said. Just keep a check on your levels between know and then and adjust accordingly and report back. I have even went past the bridge
David Goddard Posted October 12 Posted October 12 You can run up pretty far once you know the route, well past the bridge. First time I'd take it fairly slow. Lots of stumps.
