1st trip of the new year. It was my birthday today but I worked last night so got up around 10 and decided to head down and treat myself to a couple hours on the water. Ramp was empty at 11:30 when I put in. About 30° at that point went to my same little crappie spot and could not find a thing. Scanned and scooped till about 230 and was about to leave but I found 1 smaller school that wanted to play. 1/8th oz sickle head with a shad color 6th sense clobber minnow. They wouldnt touch anything else but I didnt need them to. Was back in Aurora with my limit cleaned before 5. I caught them quick to say the least once I found them. Biggest was almost 16" and went 2 lbs 3 oz. Average was around 13". 1 under 13 again. They are hard to find out there though.

Good for you.  Happy birthday present to yourself.  Those are some nice specs.

Hard work but very rewarding --- on the water and in the skillet. :)
