Dutch and I hit the ramp at 0515 and fished until noon.  It was slow.  Starting to feel like summer fishing, a bit of an early bite then it gets tough.  We started at Little Clifty North and worked our way back to Indian Creek.

We caught a couple dozen bass, mostly smallmouth with a couple of spots and one largemouth.  10-14" fish, one spot might have gone a pound and a half for our biggest bass.  Dutch caught a nice healthy 4 lb. channel cat for our biggest fish.

C-rigs and jigs were our best baits.

Slow for us too, started early for striper, we lost 2 and I did get one nice one.   Fishing partner got a 3 lb smallmouth and a nice largemouth but just a few others.

Wondering if having all flood gates open was having a negative effect.

That is a nice striper!

I've been trying to figure out if the gates are open how it effects fishing.  It seems to slow the striper bite down but not the black bass bite.  Hard to say.
