Quillback Posted June 16 Posted June 16 In the water by 0515 this morning. Cloudy with a bit of a breeze. Started out looking for stripers, not much top water activity, but did manage to catch a couple of 5 lbers. Both of them just went ballistic after being hooked, it was fun. Caught a couple of smallmouth on top and a few on a c-rig before I left about 10 AM. Campground was full, once the warm sunny weather starts, the rec boats will be out in force. WT 79 Look how dark this smallie was: Stripers: BilletHead, Lance34, snagged in outlet 3 and 4 others 7

Johnsfolly Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Hey Jeff that is a cool looking smallie. Congrats on the striper bite! Due to the down turn in numbers MD canceled the early run season for the big stripers. The striper season opened a few weeks ago here. I haven't tried for them at all. We mostly catch schoollies from shore. The big cow stripers are up in Mass or Maine right now. Quillback 1
