While I was tying some Medusa worms Pat comes in saying she was going to find some morels. Asked if I was going with her. Nope unless you find something exciting. 

   Some time goes by and back in the house with a closed fist. Open your hand she said. I did and this is what I got,

     Later she says leftovers and sauteed morels,

   Here's what I got,

Too dry here and 90 this weekend.  Nothing, nada.

Reports of finding a few last week in Cape County before hot blast.

I am not looking forward to much here.  My memory serves me that I have never found one after an 80 degree day.

We have had two days that broke 90. Ground temperature is still cool. Lots of days left to harvest. We are still needing rain.

We need rain too. My suburbanite view is that lawns are very dry, almost crispy. Wild temperature fluctuations here make me wonder when we'll see anything. Soils temp in my raised beds ~ 50 degrees.
