Point 9 to SK on the flat stuff is loaded. He had a heyday on CP swim beach. They live there. Spawn or no spawn. 
Then Hobbs Hollow, probably one of the biggest community holes at SK. 
Right in front of my house  

He then fished the small pockets back toward KC with a senko. If he would have stayed on the main lake gravel with a swim bait he would have busted 100 pounds.

Gill did well.  5th place, Evers, is 30 lbs. back.

I’m kind of surprised by Evers. I don’t think he has ever done well here, and I didn’t like his practice. 

He came on in the 2-3 periods so he may be on to something. With the weather change on the way, it’s going to be interesting tomorrow.

I am really surprised by Michael Neil. I know he is not afraid of clear water.  He practiced just like Evers. I saw him every practice in the back of steep pockets, one after the other in the point 9 to Big Creek area.

Do they get ffs on Sunday ? What was Mark Davis doing today? I remember him throwing a crank bait years ago in the Kings and won I think. He also did well one year on a menace grub tied to a swing head.

It’s cool watching these guys fish a pond I also fish.  (Will be fun to watch them at Beaver next week).   BUT

Watching these guys catch 50 2 lb fish just doesn’t feel like a premier fishing event.  Makes me feel better about my table rock average though!

 

As for Beaver- I have spent the last 15 years driving past the Beav to fish at Table Rock.  But man, Beaver is fishing as good as it has in the 17 years I have lived here.  Very impressed with the quality of fish right now.  Not sure how well it will hold up to this many pros but I’m betting the average size will be higher next week than it is this week.

I was also shocked there wasn't anyone fishing swim baits, for Jaws, with that wind.  

 

You can put the trolling motor on high and just fan cast that thing till you find a group.

I believe they get to use FFS for one period every day.

I remember Davis throwing that Menace grub in an Elite tourney on TR.  I fished it myself in the spring after watching him. It works, but ever since I got into fishing little swimbaits, they have worked much better for me.
