Seth Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Missed on $1500 for sure, but very likely would have held on to a top 4 overall spot with how the weights are looking. Considering it was the only 7 pounder weighed in so far, this guy possibly missed out on $101500 by weighing two fish during the same time slot.
fishinwrench Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Man I feel bad for that dude😔 In all actuality having the fish weighed & released ASAP was the most proper thing to do.....verses holding it in the livewell for hours.

He only needed to wait 26 minutes! Poor guy just got excited and made a mistake.
Flysmallie Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Maybe someone should ask them if they have weighed in any other fish in the past two hours.

Here's the thing though......When he showed up with the 7.25 fish the "OFFICIAL" should have informed him that he couldn't weigh another fish until the next period. That hiccup should have flagged the instant that it was entered/recorded The official weighed it, and recorded it, and the program allowed those standings to hold on the roster all day. I followed it all day long, and the leaderboard updates automatically every 5 minutes or so. I just feel like a large part of the "mistake" falls on MWFT. If you and your computer program can't keep track of that many participants then maybe it should be limited to the number of participants that you (and your program) can keep track of. 🤔 snagged in outlet 3 and Flysmallie 2

I'm assuming they have these rules in place to try and allow more anglers to place during the hourly weigh ins so only accepting a single fish would accomplish the same thing. It just doesn't make sense to me to disqualify both fish in this instance but if that is what the rule states then it is what it is. It's ultimately on the anglers to know the rules. Flysmallie 1

It's not up to the weigh in crew to baby sit the anglers though. The rule is clearly stated in rule #5 under Weigh In Rules and Regulations. https://midwestfishtournaments.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/bbbrules_2024season.pdf
