Got into the bass a few weeks ago on an un-named private property old Peabody strip pit lake.  Ridiculous fishing for 15-17" bass on whatever you wanted to throw.  Couple fish went near 4 lb's, and an easy 8 lb'er came unbuttoned.  Had an enjoyable time with friends. Harvested a few smaller fish and had fish tacos with cole slaw.  Thank god we brought the big Montana tent to survive the 4" deluge that lasted about 7 hours or more
