Fishing update, as of 6/9

Great report Dave! I'm so happy that you had an opportunity to bring the family down for a few days.

Good stuff Dave, happy you were able to get out with family.

We have found a solid drag bite, main lake or near it. Pretty much requires a sharp drop, wood, deep water access, or better yet all three together. Mostly 18'-25', but if you find a place with a shallower drop, it's worth checking. 

Guarantee Bo could point to a few on the map. These places may look like flat gravel, but the better ones have stair step ledges, sometimes with 15' less than 50 yards from 100+.

Catching a mix of all 4, meanies included, with a good number of solid blacks. Ned is catching them, but so is a tube, and the stupid Finesse Shadz. We've caught a handful of fish on top, all wake baits of various kind. That includes the monstrous Bull Shad wake bait. That's like throwing a live 9" bluegill at them.

Were you rigging these up on your ned heads? I picked up some of what I think were called slim swimz at Bass Pro on clearance and I think they are very similar to the finesse shads. I had planned to try them on the ned.

Seth...yes and no answer. Yes, same heads, no the slim swimz is not at all the same. It's a fantastic little swimmer, some won't like me saying that, but it's much shorter than the Shadz, with an action tail. 

Shadz is basically an elaztech gycb shad shape worm. No salt. It's an acquired taste at best. With just the little breeze today, it was nearly unfishable.

Makes no difference when you get here, the results are the same. You guys are a wrecking crew. 😄
