  1. Hey! Finally something I can contribute to. Last year about this time I was catching a bunch of bass in Cape Fair area on drop shot. I stayed within eyesight of the bridge one way or the other. I was using 3/16 weight and plum Zoom Finesse worm. They were stacked on both outside bridge pilings. I would literally throw my drop shot at each piling and let it hit and drop straight down. A bunch of fish came on the initial drop at around 15-20 ft. The two trips I went last year I caught around 40-50 bass. Try on those 3 points just down river from the bridge. Caught some there as well. Good luck!
  2. Black War Eagle Spinnerbait in 3/8 or 1/2 oz. Throw it on steep points and work it back slow. They have been catching some good ones after dark at Beaver. Seems to be better the later it gets. I like Zoom Mag 2 worm too. Black in color. Pair it up with 3/8 to 1/2 tungsten weight with a bobber stopper and flourocarbon line. You can make plenty of noise and count every rock on the bottom. If they don't bite that don't be afraid to use shakey heads or Ned after dark. They will find em.
  3. Awesome stuff right there. My axle just arrived today. Can't wait to get up there.
  4. If they have 30 or more boats they pay 2 big bass places. There is usually 30-40 boats every week. I won second big bass the first week. Haven't made a dime since. Lost out on 2nd big bass the third week by .06 lbs. it's a good time though.
  5. You fishing in the future Marty McFly??
  6. I'm really happy with my Lews. It has smaller body with a big mouth spool. Holds tons of line and casts great. It's under $100.
  7. Wednesday night tournaments out of Prairie creek 7-10:30. $40 per team or $20 a man. It's a good group also.
  8. You are looking at it all wrong. I'm talking about raising someone's interest in tournament fishing. It cost less, less participants too increase odds of winning, usually with other folks who aren't out all week prior practicing for upcoming derby. If someone wants to fish big tournaments have at it. I'm just saying from past experience fishing those big derbies could leave a bad taste in ones mouth. I have found the smaller local events to be much more relaxed and more fun.
  9. They have smaller tournaments at local lakes everywhere. The entry fees aren't too high and typically have smaller number of participants. That's where people new to tournament fishing need to start. Build from there.
  10. It is also different for the Pros that travel the country to fish tournaments. They don't mind showing you what and where they catch them. If and when they come back to said lake it will be years down the road and different time of year.
  11. Champ. I need to get out to your place soon. Been busy at work and trying not to melt in this hot sun. This heat is hard on a fat boy. I haven't forgotten you Sir.
  12. My Axle needs to be replaced on my Skeeter 20i . Can I do this with the boat on the trailer? I have access to floor jacks and car lifts. If anyone has done this and has some words of caution or something that might pop up that a first timer might not know about please chime in. Thanks .
  13. They do it the right way for sure. To do it on a large scale will be a tall task. Gotta have everyone able to have a phone signal to report catches. Have to be like the BFL where a stranger is in the boat to keep everyone honest. It is the future of tournaments for sure. Gotta work the bugs out.
  14. It's gonna have heated seats and a night vision camera mounted to the trolling motor. That will be a high dollar son of a gun.
  15. Limited photos but it looks like Champion boat with Charger badges. Wonder how this will go over?
  16. Thanks for the heads up. Been wanting to try those flutter spoons on docks. I buy War Eagle as often as I can. Keith is a good guy and I support him as often as my wallet allows.
  17. Bill. Do you know if he sells to Hook,Line and Sinker? Any stores in NW Arkansas? I'd like to try a few.
  18. Look on Craigslist. I've seen several on there.
  19. They don't have keys. I could check. I'm sure he would.
  20. I got ya Jolicious. I don't fish Everett Team trail.
  21. It only has one hook.
