  1. I had the same luck on friday evening. Friend and I caught 11 fish in a little over an hour. All on a wiggle warts with a splash of orange on them. Fish the eagle rock area. Saturday was a little slower. Same colors worked. Made a change to a olive green when i went up Roaring river arm. Water was quite a bit cleaner. Adjustment paid off with two fish within 5 minutes then it was time to watch the Razorbacks. Caught six saturday. Fished from Eagle Rock to Holiday island. I think wr could have done better if the wind wasnt blowing as hard. My partner doesnt fish very often and we had to hug the bank to get any kind of bite. Needless to say he was hung up in trees and the bank all day. I had fun helping him figure out creative ways to get loose. All in all a fun trip. I will be back this coming weekend. The bite is definitley on.
  2. Not to add to the confusion. I have been hearing a lot of great things about the Jackall Squirrel jerkbaits. I hear they are fish catching machines and have some great looking paint jobs. I believe they are designed to dive pretty deep. U guys might look those babys u and see what you think.
  3. I have heard lots of great things about the McStick. I own a couple. There has to be something said for the Megabass though. That is the go to jerkbait for the pros when they fish Table Rock and Beaver early in the season. They were a secret for a long brfore they went public a few years back. Not sure exactly why they are better but they do catch fish. When I hear stories like that and see people using them when they are sponsored by someone else I can't help but buy and use them too. Boy they are expensive though! I do think there is something said for using what you have confidince in. There were a lot of big fish caught on Rogue's before this newgeneration stuff came out.
  4. That's Fishing.
  5. The drive from Fayetteville to Ft.Smith is Awesome right now. Love this time of year. Fishing,Football and Food.
  6. That is great. I will add that to arsenal next time I am up there. Any color recomendations? Did uyou throw a shallow bill or Wiggle Wart at all? Best time of the year for the Wart is upon us.
  7. Four days of throwing a blade? Did your arm fall off? That is a lot of work. I have been waiting for bite to pick up before I headed north.
  8. Is that a soft or hard jerkbait? I was under the impression it was too warm for hard jerkbait. If you are having luck with it I am very interested in how I can catch them with it.I am assuming you are working it pretty fast. Thanks for the report.
  9. Great Job! Thanks for the info.
  10. Is this supposed to be available to download to a hot spots card? If so, how is it done?
  11. Where can I download that informatiom? I would love to have it and try.
  12. I saw one of these tonight as a matter of fact. Chris at Hook Line and Sinker Rogers just recieved one today to try out. The same guy makes umbrella rigs for Striper fishin. He says you can thow it all day amd not get it tangled up. It was already rigged up an he said it felt like it was about an ounce. This reminds me of when those Basstrix Hollow belly swimbaits came out.
  13. I used to play golf before I took up fishing. I thought golf was expensive. It doesn't come close to how expensive fishing is. I love to do both, but I have decided to dedicate my time to fishing. There are a lot of similarities as far as the mental part goes.
  14. I volunteer to be on you guys team.
  15. You fishing in that tournament that Jeff Cook is putting on?
  16. Me too, and I suck at golf!
  17. I have been fishing Beaver a lot lately and it is the same way. The fish are getting bigger as the temprature has gotten colder. The only way I have caught fish has been to cover a lot of water. If and when I catch them It will be one fish per spot. I went yesterday afternoon. I caught a good one on a Wiggle Wart and lost a good one with a LC 1.5 Chartruese/Black back. My best one was around 3lbs and I caught It in a big pile of trees flippin a speed craw.
  18. Hey, Thought I would add this. Battery Outfitters carries a line of used 200hr Deep cycle batteries that are only $35-40 a piece. They come with a 90 day warranty. Great for someone on a budget. There is no doubt that Pro-Guide and Trojans are great but they are $129-199 respectivly. This was at the Rogers, Ar store, but Im sure you can do the same at the others.
  19. It's funny you brought this up because I am sending some to Fallcreek lures this week. There are two colors recommended to me and they are Greg Bohannan Green and New Hot Tamale. I also had one custom painted last year that was Red craw with a green back. I did really well with that one.
  20. I know it's out of your jurisdiction, but is Beaver the same way in your opinion? I live in Bentonville and fish Beaver quite a bit. No one uses the Forum over there so I brought it up here. Thanks again.
  21. Need help knowing when this takes place. Is it certain temprature or is it more than that? How can I tell it's turning? Does water color change? Any tell tale signs? Thanks for any answers you folks can provide.
  22. Hey RPS, I know several people who have had rotator cuff injuries in the past. Unless procedures have changed in the last ten years I would tell you to rehab and live with it. Surgery has a long recovery and your rotator could hurt just as bad after the surgery as did before. My freind had it done and said if he had to do it all over again he would not have had the surgery. If the procedure now a days has small insision that helps. My friends was huge at the time of his surgery. I would avoid surgery at all costs. If surgery is the only solution I would make sure and follow Doctors rehab insructions to the letter. Good luck to you I hope a little rest is all thats needed.
