By the time you figure it out and try to fish them they will be somewhere else.

I'm with the majority here. I love Table Rock. I say come fall or spring and you will be fine. I think you should stay around Table Rock area then take a day or so and go to Bull Shoals too. If you are coming this far to fish you may as well go to both and form your own opinion. You come fall or spring and you could have one of those Wiggle Wart crankbait bites that are an absolute blast. Good Luck and I hope the pack takes it easy on my Chiefs this year.

Take a look at the Lucky Craft Gunfish. It can be walked and it has a cupped nose where it can be popped as well. The size is perfect for TR it is smaller than a Spook and bigger than a Spook jr. They have some great colors. Aurora Black is a great color. They also make one that is translucent on the bottom but the name of the color escapes me. Its a fish catching machine. As far as poppers go its hard to beat a Yellow Magic. Ima also makes an awesome wake bait called a Roumba.

Holiday Island is a great place. Leatherwood creek area is right there no major boat traffic and its kinda secluded like its a small little lake. You can go right outside the Marina and there is the White River. There are always whites around that area it seems like.

Great report. I can't wait to get out and fish. My motor blew up and has been in the shop for about 8 weeks. I am going crazy.

Everytime I read your posts I wanna go out and buy this stuff. Still waiting for the right time. They are not cheap. Thanks for the input. Educational for sure.

I can't even get my wife to go fishing at all. That is awesome that you can take your wife and have fun like that. Congrats.

I have a charger on my boat that is tied in with the boats altenator. It charges all batteries as you are running down the lake. Those things are around $285 installed but they are pretty awesome. They also have an adapter to hook up to your truck through the trailer plug. It will charge your boat as you are driving down the road.

Well that should show you how bad the lake is right there. If they don't want the most experienced fisherman out there they sure don't want some joe blow like me out there.

Too much money to be lost in the Branson area if they cancel the FLW event. If there was any way to have that tourney they were gonna do it.

I was going to ask the same question. I would say probably not. Tournament powers that be would more than likely tell you it is a release ASAP situation. Just a guess.

There is some in the back left side of Leatherwood Creek. Caught some a couple of weeksw ago.

You can't go wrong with a Lucky Craft RC 1.5 in White with Black Splatter back or Chartruese black back.

You must be fishing in the KVD tournament.

Where is Bent Hook Marina? How do I get there by water?

I fished Holiday Island to Roaring River last Sunday and had similar results. I caught 12 bass and 1 Walleye. Only two of the bass where keepers. I cuaght them on Wiggle Wart (red with green back) and a shallow bill crankbait(green craw pattern). Caught the Walleye on a Megabass 110 in Table Rock color. Water was clearing up quite a bit from my previous trip the Monday before. I caught the majority of my fish from 6:55 to 8:10. It went dead until about 11:00 -12:30. Caught 4 within 10 minutes on one bank and cuaght my last one in Roaring river on channel swing transition bank. qQuit at about 12:45. Had fun. Just no fish to write home about.

I don't know much about White Bass fishing but there are a lot of people fishing for White Bass around Holiday Island. Not sure what they are using.

If KVD fished it he would find that one spot on the whole lake that kept filling up each day and run away with it. That guy is in the zone. I went fishing with Bohannan last Monday at Table Rock and I think that he has a great pattern for the weather that is gonna happen during the tournament. I promised not to give anything away. I sure hope he wins it. He is a great guy.
