  1. Cold air and water is tough on that FC. I think that's what separates the good from the average. I use red label when it's warm. No way I use it when it's cold.
  2. I second InvizX. Great line. Likes cold weather a lot more than other brands. I tried Sunline sniper FC last year. It's good line as well. Haven't tried the new Finesse line from Seagaur yet but I bet it's gonna be a winner too.
  3. I use a G.loomis 6ft 3inch jerkbait rod. I like the shorter ones as well. Easier to work the bait with a shorter rod. You need to contact Bill Babler he has Falcon rods available and usually has some great deals on them.
  4. There is an article with him in the latest Bassmaster magazine if you guys want to check it out. Good stuff.
  5. Looks like someone loves their swimbait as much as I love my drop shot. ?
  6. That doesn't sound perverted at all.
  7. I love the show. One thing drives me nuts. I can't stand it when they highlight someone talking about the surprise of where they are going that day. It's the same story every time. We get it already. Geez.
  8. I don't think they are able to gain access to water release information. If it's not obvious on the surface it would be hard to know. Hopefully someone takes time to idle over some deep stuff and takes a chance. Second round will be different I'm sure.
  9. Bill. It took 24 lbs to win on Beaver yesterday. (6 fish limit). No other way to get that kind of weight without the rig. That's crazy for Beaver. You didn't get a check if you were under 20lbs. I'm glad I stayed home. I can't catch that kind of weight in 2 days. Ha
  10. If it's pb2 I have. We took off from there but it was off limits. Long time ago.
  11. I got ya. Never been in that area of the lake.
  12. Did anyone else think Short was being rude by cutting Watson off from fishing the rest of that wood? Watson didn't get mad so I guess it was ok. Seemed at the time that Watson found the fish and Short capitalized on it. Warrior. I would like to think I was as good as Christie but there is no way I catch as many as he did in there. These guys are the best of the best. To put myself anywhere close to that would be wrong. I also noticed this group attacked the area differently than the first group. Not a Plopper in site. Goes to show how many different ways there are to catch them and how these guys went to their strengths to do so. Can't wait til next episode.
  13. This is where having a flimsy rod comes in handy. He won't have to set the hook. They bite the bait and the rod does the work. I would let him use the WW instead of the RK. The WW doesn't get hung up near as much. The RK digs harder causing more hang ups. Til he gets the hang of how it feels then he will know when he hits a rock to let line go slack long enough for bait to come loose then start reeling again.
  14. You had me at hello.
  15. Caught about 15 on Saturday with the A-rig at Beaver between 2 guys. The rig with blades was getting more bites than the one without. It was windy so I'm sure that's why.
  16. Drop shot doin work again! I love it. Good job.
  17. Looks like I will be fishing BFL on Grand that day. Wish I could be there. I enjoyed it last year. Good luck and be safe.
  18. Great deal Bill. I'm left handed or I would jump on it. Saving my money for a box of wiggle warts I came across ?
  19. Agree on the locker bars Bill. I be heard more than one story about how easy they can be taken out. On top of that. These guys have as much time as they need. There is no one watching these docks this time of year.
  20. I know that there is a gate allowing access from land. Unfortunately, water access will always be there. My lesson learned will be to never leave electronics on my boat when I'm on the road ever again. As for locker bars. I would tell someone not to use them. If a thief wants in your boat that bar won't stop them. Even worse. When they pry that locker bar up it damages the fiberglass on the gunnel. Then you have stolen stuff and a damaged boat.
  21. Check this one out. Posted today. 3 hrs ago.
  22. Rps. If you get a list of units that were taken I know a detective in Rogers. He might be able to help you folks recover some of the stolen items. I am always looking at Craigslist. I will keep an eye out for units with no transducers.
  23. Thieving Bastards! They need their butts kicked and thrown in the Gray Bar Motel. Sorry to hear about that.
  24. Christie gives some great tips. The funniest part of the episode is when he said Ozark bass are always on flats. The very next fish he cathes he contradicts himself and says like I said you gotta catch em on the steep stuff. Funny stuff.
  25. I can't do it Champ. I was born in KC. It's in the blood. Hopefully we meet them in the Super Bowl.
