  1. What? Are you complaining because you typed "strippers" instead of stripers?
  2. That is a float I need to do some day. You would think that as popular as that float is, you would see a lot of canoes and kayaks out there. I keep hearing about how "there's nobody but us." Hey Cheif! When we gonna do that float? Maybe do an OAF Labor Day float???
  3. Yeah. I'd still like some of what they (the organizers) been smokin'.
  4. 6000???? For a has been that nobody but a bunch of kids has ever heard of???? For one concert???? I'd like to have some of what they've been smokin'.
  5. That would all depend on your budget. I've seen glasses go for over $200. I've also seen glasses sell for $20. Check out BassPro and take your pick.
  6. Mosquitoes are usually tied on size 18 or 20 hooks. It looks like that fly was tied on a size 2 hook and that fish is 16 inches long. Not too shabby for your first fly caught fish.
  7. I know where it is too. And I'm tellin. It's in the Ozarks.
  8. Polarized. Amber for wading, gray for fishing from a boat. Amber helps define images at lower angles than grey. Grey does not distort color, only darkens it.
  9. What about 100% recycled paper not going into the landfills?
  10. Get in car, drive either north, east, south or west until you come to a stream. Get out of car and start fishing.
  11. I wonder if they were totally naked or if they had g-strings and pasties.
  12. Thanks.
  13. Here are a couple of pics I took while fishing at the Pigeon Creek area of Lake Norfork on June 17th. Hope you enjoy them. Sorry about the size. I thought I cropped them smaller.
  14. Blue Ribbon Fly Shop, Hwy 5 South, Mountain Home Mountain River Fly Shop, Hwy 62, Cotter
  15. Will it feature articles of the Arkansas side of the Ozarks? Will it be available in Mountain Home, AR? What is the cost estimate of an issue?
  16. I've never caught a striper in my life either but if I went striper fishing on Norfork and caught a world record would somebody say I was fishing for crappie?
  17. I drove by there this last Wednesday at about noon. Didn't see it though. What time was that taken?
  18. Well, no matter where he caught it, it is a darn nice catch.
  19. Many years ago when I used to keep fish, I got let go from a job, called a company I had worked for a couple of years earlier, got hired over the phone, and went fishing. I caught this northern pike on the very first cast.
  20. I never mentioned anything about whether or not BP chose to stop it. In your post about valves, you said; "There is a second fail-safe valve ..." so I used BP as an example of how "fail safe" valves can be.
  21. That could be. Most likely caught an Arkansas fish and took it back across the border to Missouri. The Arkansas record striper weighed 64 lbs 8 oz. Can't beat the Arkansas record, so take it to Missouri where he could get his name in the record books.
  22. The thumbnails in the post are bigger than the pictures. It does certainly look like a walleye though with that white tip on the lower tail fin.
  23. They installed an electric barrier across the Illinois river just outside of Chicago. For some unholy reason, they were not permitted to turn it on, and now those carp have been spotted less than a few miles from Lake Michigan. They are predicting that if they get into Lake Michigan, they could devestate a multi-million dollar salmon, trout and steelhead fishery. And there is no barrier between the other 5 Great Lakes to stop them. They should string up the morons that introduced these fish into US waters by the balls and sloooooowly skin them alive.
