  1. 4 inch single tail grub, hula grub, (at this point) ZinkerZ, 5 inch sluggo, 3 inch stiko
  2. Hey Rick, My buddy used to fish that river so often that I half jokingly call it the Johnny River. He KNOWS it. Well, recently he floated it on one of his favorite stretches and really struggled. Kind of bummed him out. He won't be back until the water is warmer.
  3. I had an old family spinnerbait that I used when I lived in the land of murky water. It's a single spin colorado blade with a head that helps it run shallow. I wanted it with a really light wire to enhance vibration. I looked at a lot of hooks and chose the Mustad Ultra Points. Good hook at a good price. I can't imagine paying the price required to get Trokar hooks. No doubt they're sharp, but for my use, the Mustad Ultras are plenty sharp enough.
  4. I'm sorry for your loss. I wish you guys had hadmore time together, but I am glad to read that the fishing and fellowship was good the last couple of years. God Bless.
  5. East or West? I go over something on the way to Tucker Hollow, but rarely go all the way back to the back of the Sugar Loafs.
  6. INDEED! It was a shared account because of I tunes that did me in. The crappy part is I really don't want music on my phone anyway.
  7. My wife upgraed her phone. She had an I phone 4, but she had issues with it and wanted an I5 C. Fair enough. I had to be involved, well OK not my favorite thing to do but so be it. Once we had the new phone, We backed up the I4 to the cloud and then "restored" the I5C from the cloud so that she would have her old contacts. Here's where it goes bad for me. When we "restored" from the cloud, it gave her access to my phone as well as hers so she had my contacts as well as hers. She proceeded to delete them from her phone which deleted them from my phone. I have figured out about 12 contacts that I have lost and some of them I was able by hook and crook to rebuild, but I don't know how many in total were lost and I didn't necessarily have that contact information anywhere else. Soooooooo when you're done laughing at my misfourtune and you think I had your phone number in the past, PLEASE send me your contact information again.
  8. Champ, you might try emailing Steve Day at Elken Lures. I've had good luck working with him on a custom order.
  9. I love fishing "new" places. I'm glad you're finding success. You'll get that smallie.
  10. And Nanofil helps detect those light bites.
  11. It's an 2009 that I bought in 2011. I paid it out a few months early in Jan 2014. So, she's all mine. I'll never be as good at boat detailing as lots, but I do keep it inside and clean it from time to time.
  12. this Ozark bass had it In the lip
  13. Good Deal Clay. I haven't been on the White in a while, but now that the weather is getting more stable, I have a lot of promised trips to fulfill.
  14. That one in the photo is just under 11'. Nice thump and a decent pull after the hookset.
  15. If the Zig Jig's go away, I'll be buying PJ's in a heartbeat. The PJ's are a very nice product.
  16. Gopher has the sole rights to the mushroom name. You can quickly find them online. I have had a lot of luck in the 1/16 oz with a #2 Mustad hook. I use the Skinny Bear weedless heads from Tackle Warehouse. I've used the 1:16oz and 1/8 oz heads. Wal Mart offers some Arkie heads that will work in a pinch. You WANT 1/16 oz and. Small hook. #2 or #1 seems best. 1/0 is the largest I'll go. You really should get the Loc Tite Gel Super Glue (Blue / Gray bottle) as well. It really works better.
  17. That's the first thing I tell everyone relocating to Table Rock. Hire a guide a few times to help learn the lake. Definitely, in the Spring and in the Fall. Hire one in the Winter as well IF you're going to fish the cold water season.
  18. I just checked. Norfork is actually at 554. My bad.
  19. Quick trip after church today. I had the boat in the water by noon and quit fishing before 7 PM. Lake level 552 ish. Lots of sun, lots if wind, and lots of pleasure boaters. I never took a baitcaster out of the rod locker. I rotated thru tube, grub, and Ned rig. I caught fish on all three, but my goodness is the Ned on fire. I ended my trip when I got to 52 and I left them biting. I'll lost some pictures in a little bit , but I focused on fishing more than photography. I had a couple of limits of spots. More than a limit of LMB, and several keeper Smallies. I love Smallies ! 1/16 oz head, #2 hook, Nanofil, I caught fish on 5 different colors of zeros. Norfork is starting to grow on me. Ramp < 9 miles from the house. Too many pleasure craft, but they didn't keep me from catching fish. Big Fun.
