  1. 79) Gizzard Shad Dave Reeves was the first person I messaged.
  2. Dang that's harsh
  3. Let me know when you want to see more. I believe I can wrangle a few out of every woodpile. Want Brown Recluse? Put a bunch of cardboard boxes in Your garage. skunks will be Super active in October. copperheads will be in your yard from time to time after dark, but unlikely you'll see cottonmouth . tarantulas are a harbinger of fall. You'll see makes hoping to get Lucky when they Get Lucky. They are harmless and on a one way trip. No adult males survive winter. We can talk flying stinging things later.
  4. been preaching that for years
  5. 78) Hybrid Striped Bass aka pulling machine we were fishing a big back Eddy that had quite a few Large active Gar. I tried my rope fly, Nope. I threw that Firetiger DT10 again. I made love contact a couple of times, but no hookup. I put on a large jointed wake bait hoping for a Gar and outta of the cloudy sky this miracle fish shows up and eats.
  6. It's about time for a really good Hopper bite, but I've caught fish on it in February before so there's that.
  7. 77) Skipjack Shad : so this fish was caught right after the Sauger and Walleye, but much higher in the water column. Super Happy to get this one without having to make a separate run especially for them. I ended up catching 5 of them including one on fly. Literally, I could have dozens of I had devoted the day to that.
  8. 76) Walleye: kinda late to the party. I usually catch a few while bass fishing Norfork/Bull Shoals in the Spring, but I did not do enough of that this year. this was one of my targeted species yesterday. much smaller and skinnier that I would have chosen, but that's the first of the year. Now, I need one on fly
  9. 75) Sauger : what a pleasant surprise
  10. 98 freaking species People! He's got a wide open window to get this done in July!!!
  11. It's magical how they can all be 17 1/2 to 17 7/8. AGFC will measure them if they are anything close to 18 inches. I don't even keep the squeakers. Not like I catch a bunch of walleye.
  12. Ham rapidly typed Keller Lake into Google Maps search bar
  13. Dave getting it done in Iowa. Carmine Shiners can really vary in appearance
  14. Well, screw that then. I'm saving the postage and the drive time and trying elsewhere. I'll live without a McCloud RBT. I've already got a SRBD, Knobfin sculpin, and grass pickerel UNLESS someone wants to educate me about other fish that live there
  15. They are a fun little bunch of paranoid fish, but what I want to know about are the Redfin pickerel
  16. Hey Jeff, the Silversides are pretty easy to catch if you have the right set up. They have a relatively large mouth and are very aggressive. I bet they are Hell on the things they eat (bass fry ?).
  17. 74) Tiger Trout
  18. Sure thing Man. I enjoyed it. Nice place you got there by the river.
  19. Tiger Trout: below Bull Shoals Dam on a Zig Jig.
  20. 73) Brook Silverside I had seen these guys off and on at Bull and Norfork. Knew they were lifers, but never had the gear with me to try for one. Kinds thought they might be Silversides from their behavior. Yesterday, while fruitlessly checking for some calmer water with a Longnose Gar, I got my chance. I had to re-rig to a #20 brassie. After that, second cast.
  21. Me too! When they aren't being female doggies. I had multiple fish turn down perfect size worm chunk. I switched to a fly and got one on second drop. . 🤔
  22. It's a fairly recent vintage Strike King Product. I have a couple of them. Rage Blade maybe?
  23. 72) Logperch : my easy spot to catch them wasn't easy after all. I went to my back up location and while it wasn't easy, I was able to get it done.
  24. Greenside Darter : They will not be any easier to catch going forward, but I have caught one.
  25. They Honestly spook themselves sometimes and will retreat to rock piles never to be seen again by human eyes. It is incredibly frustrating. much fuller body than Logperch. I did not know Niangua Darters were big (I don't think they are in Arkansas).
