  1. We rolled up to THE Lake O the Pines full of Hope and Expectation. Still tweaking on Waldo which cost a few minutes, but soon enough we were on the water. John Got First fish of the Trip. Channel Cat. John needed a yellow bass to catch every member of the true bass family. I have not caught a (true) White Perch yet. Lake O the Pines has plenty of Yellow Bass, but could we find him one. I had “technical” issues with my portable depth finder. I made a snap decision to buy the least expensive Lowrance unit. We used it as a portable unit until I can get it mounted. It didn’t help us. When deep was unsuccessful and boring, I went to a main lake point. Quickly, we were into fish. Then Bang! I got a yellow bass. Tiny. But target species acquired. John kept catching fish, but Bluegill after Bluegill. Then, he got a Spotted Bass. Small but the first Spot caught in Waldo Then, I caught a second yellow bass. It happens.
  2. We had minimal ability to connect to the Workd Wide Web. I’m Sorry we were not able to do half day updates, but it was what it was Soooooooo, let be Go back in time and try to include y’all in the fun.
  3. Red Spotted Sunfish one of our target species
  4. John with a Monster Crappie. Legit 15 inch White Crappie.
  5. To say I am excited, is a Huge understatement.
  6. Westfork Jason is your guy.
  7. You should have been there last week. I ran that with my daughter and her boyfriend in my new ride. They were running a lot less water than the time you mentioned. I went to put the TM in and I didn’t have enough water for it. 🤣
  8. Meh, didn’t notice it.
  9. When was the last planting of egg boxes? Are more planned? Would there be benefit from doing Brown Trout Egg boxes in the White?
  10. Lots of places. I doubt they are gonna go from 16K to Min Flow, but that’s just a guess. I would Bet you can work your way up deeper troughs on Buffalo Shoals. Use that jet as a water taxi. Wade fly fish from lots of spots call me and we will talk about other spots that I have run at min flow
  11. Tohatsu is done too. I think either Les or I got the last one that Current River Marine could get their hands on
  12. I can fix that
  13. Remind me again why we haven’t fished together yet. You live less than 1/2 mile away and we can’t make our schedules work. My poor little Merc 20 needed an impeller and wear sleeve in the worst way. I was just too dumb to realize it. It going to do a lot better for the next owner. Still taking it easy on the Tohatsu for the first two takes of gas. I think I have used 7 gallons so far. At 18 gallons, I will see what WOT is like. A 17/56 Blazer with a 60/40 jet is a less expensive option and all the boat anybody needs. As is often the case, I went crazy with the Cheez Whiz. I am Very satisfied with my purchase at the point though.
  14. MY ONLY motorized White River Boat. I am selling off the Supreme. I am doing some maintenance work on it and I have a buyer waiting on the completion of this work. Give me a little while. I have a couple of more tricks up my sleeve that I would like to finish up. Then I will put together a little article about my boat. With pics. Short version. Alweld Custom 20 foot Jon. 52 inch bottom. 100 gauge aluminum. Heavy Rail. Diamond plate on bow and corners Tohatsu Jet 50/25 one of the last of the 2 strokes. Minn Kota Ultrex 80 24 volt up front perforated aluminum floor Livewell 3 dry storage areas in boat and two more storage areas included in Front Deck. Drafts a few inches of water. And runs in 8 inches or so. The absence of rocker and the ribs on bottom help it track better. Big, Roomy, and Stable. With rods off the floor and lots of clean deck to fish from.
  15. Soon
  16. Pretty country and pretty fish
  17. My work changed. I don’t work weekends anymore. Y’all decide and I’ll make sure to have that Friday off. new boat to show off
  18. Lots and Lots ; I wanna catch a fish in all 50 states , Boundary Waters Trip, Lower Niagara River, Columbia River, Havasu for Big Redears, East Coast Multi Species Swing, Nebraska Sand Hill Region, and Florida Multi Species Run.
  19. Good Luck! I’m still trying to figure out how to catch more of the suckers. Double check with AGFC about legal regulations for minimum length on the walleye. I don’t think the Bull Shoals Lake regulations apply. I don’t believe AGFC wants the walleye in the river nearly as much as I do. I’ve caught walleye from 7 to 20 inches up and down the river. Trusted friends have seen pods of FULL Grown walleye over 20 miles below the Bull Shoals dam. I truly believe there is a small, but established population of walleye in the White River. I wish AGFC would augment that existing population of fish. The cold water won’t bother them. The fluctuating current levels won’t bother them. The numerous grass beds will provide shelter for the fingerlings. Feeder creeks offer other opportunities for the walleye. The river has tons of food for walleye to grow quickly.
  20. Walleyes are all up and down the White. From the shadow of the Bull Shoals Dam to below Buffalo City. However, I’d bet dollars to doughnuts that the fish you are seeing are mostly suckers.
  21. Yeah....never put Blue Crabs in your livewell. Just sayin.
  22. Reading Comprehension People. #TheStruggleIsReal Congratulations Bill! Heck of a Fish Buddy! what color worm did you catch him on? I kid, I kid.
  23. Well Sure. There are a couple of ramps on Norfork Lake that aren’t too hard to run up to the bridge and beyond
  24. Yeah, flood event completely eliminated the ramp, parking area, and road to ramp. Give. Toast. Dead Parrot.
