  1. OK, I'll try to get the name of the place. Hold tight. I thought you were up there to see the boy.
  2. It's going to be helpful to a lot of chubs, darters, and suckers as well. Multi-species expedition anyone?
  3. I didn't think you did much Facebook. I was going to look at that tonight. Do you like Rueben sandwiches? a buddy swears the best he's ever had are close to your current location.
  4. So, I drove by the BassCat Plant to drop off my entry for the Owners Invitational on Friday. On the way back to Mtn Home, I swung by the Jewel Lures plant and it was a ghost town. Does anyone know if the plant runs 4 days a week or if this is their down time. I like a lot of their stuff. I hope this was a normal occurrence and not a bad situation.
  5. Glad that MDC was checking a little bit. Helps to keep people honest. I don't find enforcement. I'd prefer it not to reach the level of harassment. I have actually been checked on the Current river by agents before. I've also been checked on the Buffalo river three different times.
  6. Griz is the best ever at finding crap for sale on the internet. He is the Man!
  7. Man, you tell me. I'm in the middle of a 4 say work stretch. BSL's funny residents are safe from me.
  8. " Kick in Bass" smells so bad that I threw it away. I don't care if it would help me catch more fish, I will not have that stuff in my boat. It smells awful. It makes the Gulp oil smell like a breath mint. I KNOW that Gulp is great for panfish and walleye. I've caught numerous bass on gulp stuff as well, but I have not seen real observable differences. I have the KVD stiks. I started using the sporadically last year. so far., meh. I have Megastrike gel. meh. the Hog Tonic is very strong. I like Power Team Lures. I catch fish on them, but I don't know what part the Hop Tonic plays in that.
  9. OK Drum. Ned I'm sure.
  10. Megabass 110 Plus 1
  11. Nice looking rig. I know someone it would be perfect for. I'll put a bug in their ear about it.
  12. Drum are a fun bonus fish in Bull Shoals. They are a lot prettier out of clear water. I have caught some that had the copper hues of a Redfish and some that were a metallic gray with lots of purple iridescence. Crush your bait and flat out pull. I'd guess that since they are n Beaver and they are in Bull Shoals that they are in TR.
  13. High winds pushed me to a change of plans. I took care of something's that needed doing instead of fishing Bull Shoals. I did sneak in a micro fishing trip. Used #16 dry fly hooks and small pieces of red wigglers. Money. My son and I caught 8 species of fish in an hour. I added several species for the year and a new fish to my life list. Rainbow Darter! sitting on 19 species so far.
  14. I'm sure you will.
  15. I love the Current River. I hope to fish it at least once a year the rest of my life. I don't plan to ever fish Big Piney again. Are there smallies in the Piney. Yep. Not enough and not big enough for my tastes. Look at threads on the Current River forum. Plenty of advice there.
  16. I think it might take him 3 or 4 trips before he's able to catch 100. I mean it's not THAT easy. You could bring one bait. A 1/8 oz rooster tail and catch a dozen smallmouth on a summer day on the current or a jerk bait or 1/8 oz ball head jigs and 3 or 4 inch grubs. Try to avoid the weekend if you can. They can get stupid busy, but you won't ever get lonely on the Current in the summer. The fish will most def play though.
  17. Steal of deal. This should sell today.
  18. Good for you man. You've certainly been putting out a full effort for them. I have Thursday off, but I have other things that need doing and I am just so tired of dealing with the high wind. I will likely fish 4 days next week and 4 or 5 days the week after that. My May is gonna suck though.
  19. Chris Stewart who has the Tenkara website I bought my rod through will be at Sowbug all three days. I may go meet/greet and watch him tie some bugs on Thursday. Friday and Saturday I will be fishing the BassCat OI. Thursday I really need to get my boat ready for the deal and maybe precise just a little bit. Never enough time.
  20. I fished the lower third on 4/1/16 and saw mostly 55 degrees
  21. MJ do yourself a favor and get over to Roughfish.com there's a whole big world out there.
  22. I never like seeing someone else where I want to fish or leaving as I pull up BUT you have to believe that you can catch fish behind other people and that not everyone is going to be fishing the way you are going to fish. i think we often fish behind other people without knowing it so it doesn't bother us AND I have no problem re-fishing an are because I know that I did not catch them all on the first pass. i fished a little finger of BSL Friday. We caught about 15 nice bass out of it. We fished some other areas and caught fish, but I decided to go re-fish that area (fish behind myself) and another boat was idling out as we came in. I caught my first fish before they even got even with us and another before they completely left the pocket. We caught about another 10 fish in that pocket before we moved to another area. I'm gonna guess they didn't hurt us too badly. I did hear the BSL was NOT in a giving mood yesterday. I hope she feels better about things by next Thursday.
  23. I heard the wind blew a little bit Saturday. I was unable to go fishing to see it for myself. Can anyone confirm this report?
