  1. . Oh Man, Not at all. Like I said, I'm too tender hearted. Not like I'm starving though. If you wanted to do me a favor though, you could turn loose all your keeper smallies.
  2. I'm so tender hearted towards fish that its a wonder that I keep fish at all. I like flatheads too much to kill them. I guess I would kill channels and blues. Walleye get eaten all the time. Crappie get eaten most of the time. I would really rather keep LMB between 12-14 inches. Id rather release all my spotted bass. I will not keep a smallie. Period. Bream are too fishy tasting for me.
  3. Really, he was a moron. I'm surprised he could get that figured out. Why would he want to have Bran killed? Just being cruel, again?
  4. I knew they swapped faces, but it seems unlikely that while homeboy is stuck in the brig in Westeros that no one is minding the temple. There would have to be a bigger crew than that. Yeah, I got no idea who Littlefinger is gonna end up screwing harder than the rest. I also have no idea why Cersei would not have had him killed when he hinted at her humping Jamie. What's your best guess at who sent the assassin to kill Bran while he was in a coma?
  5. Bull may have creasted at 677.51. i'll have to look at the numbers tomorrow morning. I hope , I hope, I hope.
  6. In regards to Arya, she is also habitually screwed like Sansa, but her response to it is much different. I really don't pay any attention to the opinions of HBO viewers. I wouldn't know where to look to see that stuff and I have no interest in doing so. Her story has been interesting, but I wish they had not had the character she met on the road be her trainer at the termple. I might have missed it reading the book, but I thought it was a totally different character she met at the temple.
  7. Ned ain't John's Daddy. No way , no how. I think John is Ned's sister's kid by way of her Targarian captor. I kinda suspect that Dany and John end up together. John's gotta get up off the ground after having been stabbed a bunch though. I hope dragons get along with Dire wolves.
  8. Reading the books really doesn't help me see what's coming. It's kind of like "The Walking Dead". having read the graphic novels doesn't help me know what's gonna happen in those episodes either. It's about I've been wondering about the Spider. I really did not see Stannis ever toasting up his daughter. I thought he would hold strong on that. Good things are NEVER gonna happen for Sansa. Aria is never gonna forget her grudges. And Bran is never gonna walk again. I hope Cersei gets hers. I'm hoping Ramsey gets his. Karma can not wipe its butt on the Frey's hard enough.
  9. Speaking of perch, fish 24/7 I need to catch A yellow perch this year. Pm me or text me a clue PLEASE.
  10. C'mon Scott, you're not the only one on OA that has read the books. I have not read the companion books (yet). I just want GRRM to finish the books. I'm starting to think he likes the TV gig too much to take the time to finish the series. Yes, they have compressed the stories, but they have also added some detail. It will be interesting to see IF he ever finishes the books if the books stay true to the story lines established before the TV stuff. Sure did seem like the unsullied were a little over-rated. They were taking it on the chin from the Sons of the Harpy who looked like overweight buffers to me.
  11. I don't think you can get there from TR at the current water level.
  12. Hater. I thought GOT has been Great the last two weeks.
  13. I drove out of state to stay and fish with a guy. Day 1 he's texting and driving. I tell him that's a terrible idea, but he said " I do it all the time, no big deal". I drove everywhere else we went the rest of the trip.
  14. Based on the water color I was fishing and pictures of the lower Buffalo that I saw that were taken yesterday, I think the Buffalo is more stained than I would like. I've caught fish from water that color, but I would prefer to fish clearer water than that. You might love it though.
  15. I don't throw the a rig a lot. I kind of hate it, but you can throw it in high wind and coldish water so its useful at times. I've had my freaking arms about yanked off by a 26 inch walleye and caught multiple of keepers on it. I always throw my a rigs on braid. Allll my walleye on the a rig have hit it real hard.
  16. Fly guys would need to go above Buffalo City if they are going to fish the White. I guess you could have thrown streamers though.
  17. When I fished a week ago in the lower lake, all the debris was on the shoreline which made me think that the lake had creasted . I wish I had been correct.
  18. Guys are reporting getting a lot more depth out of their flicker shads with long line trolling. I know very little about trolling and I assume if you start dredging bottom, you'll make an adjustment.

Holy Crap! I had no idea Grand was seeing that kind of fishing pressure. That's good to know. I will scratch it off my list of places to visit.
  20. Thanks for the intell. I'm sure that trolling is the best way to catch them. I suspect that a fair number of the walleye have developed quite a taste for crawfish. I seem to catch a few every time I drag tube or Hula grub around. Seems like a rigs catch their fair share of them too.

What gets more pressure than Table Rock? I want to avoid that lake.
  22. I fished solo from 3 pm until 7 pm. I chose to go to the lower river knowing the water would be stained from the Buffalo's inflow. I was hoping that I wouldn't have much company. I was right about the water color, but wrong about the company. I had lots of new best friends low holing me and wake the crap out of me instead of giving me a wider berth. I caught them anyway, but it was annoying. Water was stained more so on the Marion county side than the Baxter side. I primarily fished a variety of zig jigs. Mostly 1/16 oz. 1/8 oz wasn't as effective. I did use an inline spinner in some shallower water over the tops of grass. The hits on the inline spinner are not subtle. I had less fish overall, but better size that usual. The dingy water seem to make the Browns more aggressive. I caught 4 Browns, 15, 16, 19, and 20. They all really pulled. I had a lot of >14 inch Rainbows and a couple of small cutties. The fish were holding near the bottom and with the dingy water I really had to fish it low and slow. Tough for me to be patient, but fishing the Ned helps you learn to fish slow. I ended up with 44. I really wanted to hang a 50 burger on them ,but my bite died and I was starving. I learned a little something today. Which was part of my plan.

Goodness gracious I would hope most people could tell them apart. I'm comfortable saying I could tell the difference. I can tell bass and white bass and crappie and walleye and catfish and bluegill. It isn't difficult at all.
