  1. dude if you need to borrow or use a yak or canoe??? let me know....it's pathetic I have a fleet just laying around over here
  2. LOL!!!!! I stood next to Cookie several times in city hall during the citizens rant sessions before the city council meetings would start.....and he blew the head off of one of my dear friends Connie Karr and another good friend of mine Officer Biggs....the night of the shooting, I was late for the show and was hot to trot about a stupid street being opened up in my nieghborhood......thank god for that because I'm pretty sure if I would have been in the room I would have been trying to stop him some how and taking lead more than likely......that night will be burned into my memory for many reasons...mostly because my friend had her head blown off execution style at point blank range by a piece of garbage for no reason, I heard from Art McDonnell another friend of mine who was in the room, Connie was one of the only people to stand up to that piece of shiot, most coward under the table waiting for the bullets or ran out of the room ....God rest your sole Connie. The main reason I won't be sending my daughter to Kirkwood is because of the indoctination that goes on there, my nephews both attend and tell me off all the different wars and pieces of history they take out of the lesson plans and they also sell communist countries to be a nice haven for you to move to in the future. Franklin McCaulie started the slow path to socialism there and now if you aren't gay on campus there you won't get laid. Our daughter will be attending Westminster if we are still in scumbag County by then...... but, the way North county is expanding it's criminal empire and ethics we should be out in the sticks before she's in highschool.
  3. alright lets kiss...... and make it official.....LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! these dude have got think we are halfway there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. This is a bandaid handed down by the Missouri Supreme court and is a joke. It will put the un-accredited districts further into decline and do nothing for the districts the students transfer to. Communities need to take pride in the education of their kids and thats the bottom line.....if you don't give a piss about your kids education, you get a shity school. How anyone can say the parents not taking more of a hands on approach to their kids education won't help is full of shiot. I feel sorry for the few kids in those districts that have parents who care and are doing their best but, you just have to do what you can. Our daughter will be in private school for sure even though we pay taxes in Kirkwood.....I wouldn't send her to that hell hole for any amount.
  5. darn, Andy I'm gonna message you the next time I'm towing my boat down there......I have fished there three out of the last four weekends and love that place.....it's the reason for my Illinois license. It is a really cool lake.......can you ever go during the week???? I went the other day to the Kinkaid marina ramp and nobody was there???? very nice
  6. holy crap!!!! that is cool....I have not seen these yet
  7. I wouldn't normally do this in an open public forum but, since my initial allegations were made in that setting, I thought my apology should come from that setting as well. I recently made an allegation of Chiefgreybear to be a catch a keep fisherman of Smallmouth bass and not only is that very far from the truth and very childish on my part, it was the wrong thing to do if I wasn't in front of a man's face. Chief, I would like to say I'm sorry and I have no real excuses for my behavior that are acceptable amongst friends, which I thought we were. Chief and I have talked as friends many times in the past and I can assure you not only is he a huge advocate of preserving the most precious native fish to the Ozarks he has recently written a very cool article in MSA newsletter about the Neosho strain smallies, that is a great read. He has joined with the MSA to help post signs that bring awareness to the public that use our streams of the slow growth rates of Smallmouth bass, which magnifies the other factors against smallies....ie. bad land usage or stream degradation, poaching and environmental factors....the slow growth rates just adds fire to the fuel when combined with all of the other factors involved. It's a tough concept to sell to the general public on a small sign at a public access point. So I would like to say what I do know of Chief, is not only is he NOT a catch and keep fisherman of Smallmouth bass he is a true advocate of everything outdoors in Missouri from hunting to fishing and has been passing down the tradition of being a true steward of the land to his son....which I think is very cool. He also is an encyclopedia of the Southwestern Missouri streams.....tons of knowledge there....very impressive. So, I will say it again Chief, sorry.......I can be a clown sometimes.
  8. LOL!!! don't be crazy Pat.....You have to try to find something that is comfortable for you, I hope I didn't come off like an butt??? Do a ton of research on the seat there are lot of different ones out there. You were an exceptionally cool dude when I met you and when I meet someone your age like Paul that has your enthusiasm for fishing that you do well it tickles me pink. I guess I never really used the dry hatch so it wasn't an issue for me but, I can see where it might be. I need to get you and Paul especially out on a float and go crush some nice Smallies. I have a solo canoe you might like that I could unload on you for very cheap if you are into that??? very light and easy as hell to portage......lets go float before the summer season is over.....I have been saving a few floats for Paul who is my adopted son....not really but, you know what I mean.....with arrival of George he needs to hit some quality fishing real bad....I just hope the floats I have been staying away from are not getting drilled???? I also know of a few great private ponds off of HWY 79 out of St.Charles that we can take the Mini to so you can haul in some 5lb + Largemouth and really christen that thing ....let me know....contact Paul or pm here.
  9. wow I feel bad!!!!! that seat was about as good as you can buy for a sit on top......I would hate see how you feel about anything else you will find out there. As far as fishing at night goes where a head lamp of your choice it will allow you worry free light at your discretion. Adjusting the yak forward or backward on your rack, if it is an option based on your lay out and space restrictions should fix the noise problem. Paul is the master of mods to yaks......he would have some great ideas.....I like leaving mine as stock as possible....other than Seadek
  10. I think it's a coin toss between Revenge and Cavitrons both are very nice....but, the Revenge is really sweet and gives me confidence and that's what it's all about.
  11. That is my favorite section of the Gas......I did it three years ago and caught really nice fish. You won't see any flotillas but, the river seems to start going underground a bit towards HWY 7 and you will loose a little bit of flow. You really need to eliminate the unproductive sections on this stretch and fish the good sections hard, if you fish hard it's going to take you 10 hours. As you put in at 133 there is about a mile stretch and then a hard left hand turn in the river....fish that hole hard....then the river flows straight as arrow for almost three miles and then makes two really hard right hand turns...two very small springs that are not marked on maps flow out of Richland there....once again fish this area hard, I caught some real nice fish there, you will know your there when you see a road on the opposite side of the river. This section has a low gradient and you wouldn't think it would be good by it's looks but, in all the wood thru that 2 mile stretch you will find some quality fish, trust me. There are a few good holes on the south side of the river on the last four miles of the float near Rio rd....they look real pretty but, don't fish as well as the little spring area below Richland I was speaking of above. I think you will like that float it's aesthetically pleasing and it fishes better than what I was told before I floated it. I think you will enjoy.....I tried to be as specific as I could.
  12. 405z06, you should do yourself a favor and get a quality mask and some flippers and free dive some of these root wads......it will absolutely blow you away......on the Black River it's simply amazing how many big fish are up under the wood.
  13. I'm pretty sure you are beeing sarcastic......because you know it and I know that isn't that great but, it's better than going to Busch's Wildlife
  14. Dang nice smallie how much did it weigh on that boga grip??? good job!!!!!!
