  1. Hell yeah!!!...that is a very nice Smallie brother
  2. I very much enjoy my Falcon Lowriders and my Falcon Cara's.....I also enjoy my Duckett White Ice's.....the only Lews rod I have are the Custom Lite Speed Stick. All four of the lines of rods I just mentioned will make your hands and mind happy while you are fishing IMO.....all a little different price points but all are fantastic
  3. Sweeeet!!...nice report
  4. I know it can be tough dealing with Macey and how involved she is with the trash but, I love her a 1000 times over for doing it.....she friggin ROCKS Aaron
  5. Dang I just watched the recorded showing here on my DVR and that was a let down but, pretty much expected. His legs were not strong and totally makes sense after not playing ball for awhile...oh well that was your game, truly 1 and done. I think Conzuo will recruit better than the last regime so I excited about their future.
  6. Well I had the pleasure of fishing with Hog Wally and Drew03cmc on Saturday. Drew was very willing to drive from Kansas City to fish here with the Meramec guru so it showed me his drive is at the level I like. This was planned well in advance and the river conditions were at first glance not ideal but, Hog Wally knows this corridor like nobody else I have ever been out with. He actually relishes higher water surgically going from One known ambush point to another that would normally be out of the water and part of the bank. These little nooks and crannies and "pockets" as Hog calls them are very little windows of opportunity that can be very tough to identify as well as hard to get a bait in. The bait is also only in that little pocket for a very small amount of time in this higher flow which can make it even more tough. I felt a little bad for Drew being new to this water in these conditions but, he did really good. The High pressure with winds out of the East as well as the water temp dropped about 4 or 5 degrees from where it was pushed the fish back a little bit but, they would eat, you just had to get right in front of them. We caught some fish but, we had to work. Hog pulls into a nice little "pocket" and cast into a window of about Two foot square and nails a nice 18.5 broom tail Meramec Smallie and then gets Drew up to the front of the boat and says put it right there hahahaha....sorry that can be tough. Drew got his Craw right in that little pocket and had a bite with no hook up. Then he gets it back in the pocket again and get a bit again and sets the hook. I am screwing around with a re-tie and Aaron says get the darn net and sounds serious....I look at Andy's rod and it's bend very good☺ I fumble for the net and hand it to Aaron...I was excited as hell thinking Aaron just put Drew on an absolute HAWG. The anticipation was growing waiting on a visual on this fish thru the light chocolate milk colored water and then this GIGANTIC White Drum wallows up to the boat hahahaha. We had a great time and Drew is as motivated of a river fisherman as I am and that impressed me. Hog Wally never ceases to amaze me in how well he knows the Meramec corridor in any water level....but, that dude is king of water just a little up and off color where most don't even go fishing, he is nailing hawg after hawg. Meeting Andy was very nice and he is a very cool cat.
  7. hahahaha.....thanks I had just found you and am already bugging you there hahahaha
  8. absolutely spectacular Jim..... What is your ebay name??? I would like to buy a bevie of your shad underspins
  9. Andy I like your style.....you were cool a cucumber and didn't female doggy at all about the conditions. I forgot to give you some hair jigs I had tied for you leaving in a hurry like I did. We will meet up and do some off the beaten path floats this year for sure

  11. That's awesome dude.....I'm in the same boat so to speak but, only have Two girls with me down there. We have been staying down off 30A they last couple of times and it was very cool as well. There is a State Park back in there that we go to....when the tide is flowing it is some very good fishing. I agree with you, this place is so close to our hearts and we have had so many good times as a family there....it's just an awesome deal, hard for me to explain.
  12. The beaches of the gulf coast are as good as any I have ever been to and the fishing is very good.....but, we never go down in the peak season so I can only speak for off season.
  13. That area is just a part of the fabric of my family now and we love it.....my daughter and wife and I have special memories like you spoke of.....too many to count
  14. agreed.....Destin is mine and my wife's second home practically. We almost bought a place in Niceville on the bay in 1997 and I beat myself up all the time because we didn't. I have had soo many cool experiences fishing down there. The best part is they have sunk soo many ships for reefs down there with in a mile of the coast. I paddle my Coosa to a wreck out in front of the Crab Trap that has produces crazy fish. I fish the East pass in my yak while the tide is running and people look at me like I am stupid, the jetties there when the tide is running can be quite good as you know. We are heading down in 4 weeks and will go back again in September. In the last 10 years I have been getting into fishing the rivers down there.....very cool as well.....I personally love the Redneck Riviera.
  15. Dude I can't wait MOsmallies....I wonder if Justin knows he made it on OAF??? Hahahaha lunch soon!!!!...tacos
  16. I agree Al, my buddy in this post I love like a brother but, he is not much of a fisherman. Every year we go and he has to go catch a few nice Carp in the swimmig hole and I force him to go try for a Smallie. All of the fish out of this particular water shed are just beautiful as you can see and for some reason fight like crazy??..... like noticeably more than other rivers and I have always wondered why????
  17. I still have your 5/10's
  18. I am bored and need to go fishing.....ugh!!! MO carp here is a look at one of my great little smallie spots that holds soo many Carp it's nuts. We hammered quite a few Carp and smallies that evening. bonus video of my younger brother from another mother fighting a Carp on a rod that was too light....man his music sucks and that water is pretty
  19. I agree....the more legit you have to be and the more they look at your mental background to approve a gun purchase, ~~ I am all for it.......BUT, this won't work in all cases. The nut job in Vegas was all legit and passed all checks......but, I still agree with you and my opinion that we share pisses off some of my friends.....oh well you shouldn't be allowed to purchase if you are suspect at all. On the flipside we have a much bigger issue with the moral compass of our society that is not being addressed. What are we gonna do about all the psychos we are bringing up in this nation??...bad parents or no parents.... we have been a mess for awhile now.
  20. hahahaha nope no stamp collecting....I had to pay a $200 tax stamp for both of my suppression units. I was given a couple of guns by an old friend who passed away and had to get the Curios & Relics to be legal. I guess I will be labeled a gun freak and a coward by all the anti gun boys here??? no biggie.....most people would never know a city fag like me has a piece on me, it just isn't a big deal.
  21. I had to be approved by the St.Louis County Sheriff after they reviewed my background check. They approved me, that was 2001. I don' think you have that scrutiny anymore but, I could be wrong. I also had to get approved by the Feds on another couple of pieces and get stamps....it took almost 4 months to get done and now the Feds can come and inspect my pieces and make sure they are with me. Not a big deal but, they know I have them. None of my guns have magically come to life and shot anyone either.
  22. seriously I can show you some Ozark waterways that hold monster Carp.....some in the Ozarks and crystal clear .....some right here by house in St.Louis County that are not so clean. some of the small tributaries where they meet the Mississippi, Missouri and Meramec are nuts ....unfortunately for me Carp are same as Trout to me.....worthless and invasive. The fact that we blow lots of money to stock the GreenSnakes is very hard for me to stomach.
  23. Nice Aaron...oh the rain....thank goodness.
  24. Hahahahahahahahahaha
  25. Simply banning guns is not a solution. Sorry but, that is complete BS. That has worked real well with prohibition and drugs....still plenty of drugs and booze available. Switzeland encourages a bevie a guns in every household and they don't have gang bangers popping each other every darn day or psycho freaks committing mass murder. We as a society are not raising people with respect for life, we have become desensitized to violence here with dweebs sitting behind computers shooting up towns on videos games and gang bangers shooting up inner cities. For anyone to think if we were to ban guns or bump stocks or AR's that suddenly none of the psychos will stop shooting people is naive as hell and completely ignoring the real problem.
