  1. This is why, I guess: Oh and I just want to point out that I was right with my hypothetical rhetoric between the PA and rancher This does bring the question of why charges were not filed by the rancher BEFORE the (accepted as) real story came out?! :IveBeenDuped!: (<---we need this emoticon!)
  2. I know that this subject has already been through the wringer and beat to death, but after the response and documentation I received from the MDC I feel a little better about the whole thing and I think some others may as well. I still think they believe the whole story, but I can see where they don't have evidence to go further and I still feel that they could have handled the press release(s) better. I have had this material for nearly a week now, sorry I was so slow in sharing. 3. +1 +1
  4. So if me and 3 buddies go 1/4s on a 15 gal keg for our week long float we are good because each of us only posses 3.75 gal right? hypothetical and in jest of course
  5. Nice, I like the overall hue. What camera do you use?
  6. Go to Bass Pro and get a combo of TFO rod and White River reel. I got my Pro Series with the entry (read cheapest) reel for $169. Lifetime warranty with a replacement cost of shipping to TFO + $25. Combo also includes backing and weight forward floating line (and they spool it for you).
  7. I miss watching cartoons like these. Spongebob couldn't hold a candle to cartoons of this that era.
  8. Welcome Greasy.
  9. Would this case have not went in front of a judge????? TF85, I am sure that the MDC did in the beginning, and would still love to investigate most every call but with so many people making however good intended false reports they have to maintain a balance of doing their due diligence of investigative work and spending our tax dollars wisely. Apparently, only investigating the substantiated reports is where the MDC feels they have found that happy median. I completely understand and relate to your sentiment towards the way your brothers report was handled but I also see where the MDC is coming from. I don't blame the MDC for blowing off a lot of the claims. I blame the people that for whatever reason (trying to stay PC here LOL) called in labs and bobcats as mountain lions.
  10. I'd take the bet on a day as cold as today is in Springfield! The "all net" has to be through the round metal circle and not under it.
  11. What a setup! Looks like a heck of a fun trip.
  12. I opened the tread before Eric made his reply, and submitted my post after his reply, but I do agree with this statement, my actions are only contradictory due to the cost factor. If you can afford synthetics they are hands down better performers and won't soak up and hold the moisture as cotton will.
  13. On new years day I wore a pair of thermal underwear (the traditional "waffle knit" kind you can still get for $7) and a pair of current style ACU pants. I don't have a pair of the fleece wading pants and the ACU's don't seem to bunch up like jeans under waders and have drawstrings at the bottom that you can tie off to keep the pant legs from riding up. I also wore a pair of heavy hunting socks. I have breathable waders and I believe it topped out around 27 on New Years day and my feet were cold, but I was still comfortable. Up top I layered two fleece jackets underneath a very lightweight waterproof jacket with no lining. My torso and arms stayed very toasty. Hope this helps.
  14. James “Jimmy” McElwee, 29, of Camden, needs castrated. I am fearful that he may reproduce.
  15. I would love to see that bit of history if you ever get a chance to scan it and have a machine to do so without risking damage to the original.
  16. I love WWII Stuff. Much obliged, Eric! PM sent, just let me know what type of flies you could use.
  17. I am looking into taking the wife to Eureka Springs for her birthday. Does anyone have a recomendation for a nice place to stay Saturday January 22nd? I know a lot of places have a two night weekend stay minimum but our schedules will only allow for one night so our choices may be limited. I am looking to stay away from the chain hotels, also if anyone knows somewhere that offers of season rates would be awesome. Thanks in advance.
  18. Thanks for the post. I am surprised his name did not stick out to me as I have read quite a bit about the actions of Easy Company leading up to and on D-Day.
  19. That would be an awesome piece to pass down the family line!
  20. Very nice! Thanks for sharing, Jeff. I would love to have a 10' 5wt.
  21. Did anyone else expect something different when they opened this thread???? Maybe It's just because I'm young and didn't know who Dick Winters was. RIP
  22. Very true. It's too bad CheapAsCanBe.com moved from Pythian St. in Springfield to West Virginia. Not only were their prices good, you didn't have to ship and FFL!
  23. Now that the OP sold the Taurus and I am not flaming him for his price, I will point out to anyone who was interested that Bud's Guns has the PT145 for $340 + FFL new.
  24. There was plenty of that, too bad there wasn't any of the good kind after the half. Given his amount of built up frustration and anger I'd peg him as an Arizona Cardinals fan.
  25. In his day the turkey would've been a much wiser choice. The way the country is now the bald eagle is much more representative. (This is not aimed at anyone on here, just the people that look to make a quick buck no matter where it comes from and other scavengers in society in general.)
