    What's Cooking?

Got me to wondering if I am violating one way aisles, haven't seen any signs etc any where I have ben about one way except you enter one set of doors and exit the other.
  2. Just think maybe th vices you are hearing is me! I will provide a safe word phrase so you will kow it's me. How about "get the #=$< off of me cat".
  3. No people, wife knows better than to come see what I am doing until.I don't show up for supper. Dog is just happy to be outside eating cat poop, and cats will play with her for a while so I am good. And of course my lips are moving, hiw can I argue with the voices in my helmet if I don't move my lips.
  4. Tell ya what to can have all the Yoohoos and I will consume the much more sophisticated and sublime Grape Nehi. It can oly be truly appreciated by this with a well tuned palate, or at least by someone who loves grape flavored soda which is the only place I come in at. Sitting in a lawn chair, in my yard, wearing only a tin foil hat with horns and boxer brief underwear, singing songs only I can hear, hopefully no political advertising will be picked up by the helmet. BTW you are a bad influence on my twisted sense of humor.
  5. I would rather run for political office than drink a yoohoo, nasty nasty nasty. Thinking of adding "horns" to foil hat to act like rabbit ears and get better reception.

    What's Cooking?

Wife asked me to get a roast out last night, so I grabbed and arm roast just because. It went into over this afternoon in a new enamel coated cast iron French Oven I bought from a local facebook seller yester day. Actually I bout 2 if them and a 1 1/2 qt sauce pot all cast enamel coated. Anyway the roast had some issues, she misheard me on temp and it was dry and in of tough, flabor was good and the veggis, vmcarrots taters onions and some baby ports were delicious as was the gravy. So I brought over the girder and we ran it all through asllnd now have a bowl of meat and veggies for hash patties tomorrow, guess I am up for that!
  7. Naw, I would rather listen, and sip an adult beverage while I make me a new foil hat, old one is s bad shape.
  8. I need to salt mine again. 4h fescue clumps there have been quite salt tolerant over the years!
  9. Were the any white mice involved?
  10. Cold frame beginning to produce letruce, some spicy radiahes, and some cute little beet greens, strawberry bed is looking good and beginning to have a few blooms, and 4 mineral tubs filled and set close to water hydrant. Only thing left is to plant some plants (maters in tubs, maybe maters in cold frame when it is done or regular beets and aome dill or who knows), old garden will get some zucchini and cukes planted among the grass and through some wed mat and have to fend for themselves. Who say a one armed guy can't do stuff. Partially due to Jerry Rapp suggestion, nap was THE ticket. Didnt sleep much but rested and while not moving things didn't hurt, thanks Jerry!
  11. Chem trails, you mean the mind control substance left behind by government modified hybrid/alien snails. Salt is the only cure. GMO plants and animals I personally like the one that cars can easily get 100 plus miles to the gallon with he carburetor designed by cousin Billy Jack back in 1958, he was then killed and his carburetor was never seen again. Pro Wrestling is real. Vaccines are poison Women can be understood Kennedy Assassination Jack Ruby Pearl Harbor 4 stroke boat motors Ethanol on gas Cancer was designed by big pharma
  12. I have also Ben filling and moving metal tubs, two more to go, hard to wrassel into final level spit one handed. But I do like that nap idea. Think I will give it a go also.
  13. I got ya, besides I am pretty hard to offend, especially right now.
  14. I have watched bother those things happen especially with a big powerful worm drive saw. Had another old guy cutting off sheeting on a roof, saw kicked back and when he looked down realized it had gone bak wards across his foot, neatly removing a part of his big toe. Said it didn't hurt much at first. I am a coward on such things and hold on for dear life. Was helping on a Habitat For Humanity house near home and saw the main guy get a kick back on his saw. He cRefully set it down and ulled apart the cut in his shorts to reveal about a 4 ich long gash way too close to the jewels for comfort. Asked what he should do, told him we could go up to my house and let her look at it (retired RN with a LOT of ER and surgery experience), but I could easily relay what she would say. Take your happy behind to the ER and get stitched up and be done with it. He let and was back a few hurt later wearing same shorts but had I think 8 stitches. Good guy too.
  15. I am not racist, I dislike everyone equally regardless of ethnicity. Besides I would let him live in house, help with homework in addition to going to games etc. Heck what kid from a third world country wouldn't jump at a chance like that.

    What's Cooking?

I used to make a lot of pork sausage from various recipes, seemed lie never quite the same twice but alway good. Have used venison and some beef tallow before, definitely a bit different flavor profile, but still good I thought. Haven't made any in years, seem to make my ground venison into either presents to friends or summer sausages or both at same time. Kids get a little feisty if they catch me giving away smoked summer sausage. They will raid the freezer and take 2 or 3 every time they are here. Pretty sure my son lives on it and cheese for days at a time. They will leAve behind beef roasts and steaks to grab a few sausages and some ground beef. Silly kids.
  17. I am cogitating on a a device that I can just drop a fish not and a pair of nice fillets come out the other end. So far the only name for it I can come up with is Juan, as my entire design so far revloves around a young well trained kid who have live in my house with me. I am OK with that, could go to school events, ball games etc just like when my kids were little.
  18. Well it was a whole lot tougher to drill holes in, required a small pilot hole, then the big hole. Holding it between my feet working one handed it was then a long painful walk back to house as my sandals were full of metal shavings. I bought the stainless pot and afterwards my wife said, yiu know I have one of those I used to make soap in, yiu could have used, dang it. Oh well I put a bit of time into calculating the holes, had to satisfy my minor OCD by being basically evey spaced and the number had to be right too. 15 holes, that seems right since a limit of crappie or white bass is 15, so it appealed to my sense of senselessness.
  19. Glad I aint never hurt my self doing stuff. Well not yet today anyway, but day is young.

Mmmm biscuits. Looks good. A some fresh strawberry jam and I would eat all of them by myself.
  21. I generally don't soak them either, 5 minutes rolling around while I go toss the carcases over the fence is all it takes.

    What's Cooking?

I decided to make my wife some brunch today. I poached an egg to a runny goodness and put it on half a toasted English muffin with three slices of smoked salmon I found during a zombie virus braving grocery run. The other half she just wanted some butter on it. She is devouring it now and says it is GOOD, she used sa big word even while describing the how the hot egg warmed up the salmon and the egg yolk runs down into the muffin, unctious, now I gotta go look that one up! I may have to look up how to make a hollandaise sauce for next time.
  23. Wait, isn't brainless smack talk the heart and soul of fishing? Without that what do we have left, politics and pics of fish caught. Well at least the pics of fish caught are good and fishing reports.
  24. As a way of making up for the weird things I post at times here is something I made, that could be useful. A fillet wash bucket, have seen some videos that were way more involved, and I have used it before with just a hose running in, with flow reduced so that the fillets don't wash out. Would work equally well with fish or duck breasts etc. Cowboy washer I think is the one you can buy, but why buy when I can piddle around and make it. I used 6 3/4 inch holes in the 5 gallon bucket because we'll that was the first paddle bit I found. Think it works better with flow slowed down to just run out but expiramention and modification is unlimited.
  25. I admit NOTHING. 😨 I will aologize if you will catch me a nice big buffalo so I can beine and smoke it to make some hillbilly smoked salmon.
