    What's Cooking?

Instant Pot or not I would happily eat that for breakfast, might add some ham or venison summer sausage but it looks good just like that too.
  2. Great, walleye fishing coming up and you guys have me worrying about my dang garden. Need a couple truck loads of dirt, but not likely to happen, but I can add some bags to my cold frame and get it covered. Asparagus gets to stay since it's pretry low maintenance and away from the garden, strawberry bed is also away from garden but spend a lot of time rehabbing it last year, so will add some new plants as well. The garden itself get maters, squash, cukes and canteloupe, the rest of it usually gets some pollinators mix tossed on it and then a healthy dose of benign neglect.
  3. Lots of thing played into the outcome. KC couldn't stop NE at first but adjusted (and an end zone interception that had me yelling at him to just take a knee didn't hurt either) KC adjusted and came back a different team in second half. Unfortunately you simply cannot give a veteran QB with LOTS of experience and 5 superb owl wins that kind of time he will eat you alive. It was a good game and good things for KC in the Future.

    What's Cooking?

My old grill is about used up, but a nice spring like day just called for grilling. Looking like maybe it has a few rib eyes left in its usefulness. A pot of some kind of rice a roni type stuff (which I love) and some baby carrots simmered in coca-cola any we will be displayed in in style whe the stove tries to overcome all the cold air I let in while going in and out to the grill.

I feel your pain RPS, I think the market here is well past the end of the delivery chain. Occasionally though they will get some avacados that are dead ripe and discount them because people won't buy them that way. I peel and eat the with a touch of the Paul Deen seasoning mix. I love avacados and artichoke hearts too.

Very Classy Looking And I Bet Tasty too! So it she salad, avacado, cucumber, tomato? I LOVE that stuff, if the avacados are good and ripe.

    What's Cooking?

I had a package of 4 Johnsonville Brat patties so I decided to try a version of scotch eggs. Rolled them out enough to wrap around boiled eggs and then bakedthem, not bad but not something I would lily do again. Real men don't eat quiche!
  8. Probably makes a difference if it was running or not when it went in. Running and sucking up water = bad. Not running I would say would depend on your insurance. If insurance totals it go on with life and buy another, if mechanic enough buy it back from insurance aND repair. Personally there are too many electronics in new vehicles for me to want to take a chance on it unless it was really cheap to buy back, and then it would always show a salvage title which makes it tough to get much resale out of.

Different from any hash I ever had, seems like all mine were finely diced ingredients, But I too love good hash, seems like hash is like grits not bad but good ones are very very good. And the egg just makes it better.

    What's Cooking?

Went hunting for supper tonight. Wife gone to meeting so I stopped at one of my favorite supper hunting locations, Debs Market, a little store in my home town. Hunted through the freezers and found a big bag of cute little salmon steaks, each about the size of a deck of cards, then trapped a couple carrots and 3 Jonagold apples within seconds of one another. Apples sliced up and into a skillet with butter, cinnamon and brown sugar (can't go wrong there), carrots went for a ride acrossthe mandolin (aka finger slicer) before meeting some butter and S&P in another skillet, added coca cola to both skillets when liquid was needed and to add a little more sweet. Salmon got a quick sear in a skillet with butter, lemon, garlic, dill and a few capers, because they make me feel chef like when I use them. Had to cook moms till basically only a little pink left, I prefer mine more sushi like in the middle. Dessert, maybe Swiss Rolls (on sale) or a slice of cranberry orange loaf, not on sale but looked tasty. All in all a very successful hunting trip. All were satisfied. I suppose I should clean my weapon (credit card) later.

I gained 5 pounds just scrolling through all that, although it is fairly healthy.
  12. Some of the regulatory stuff was/is the result of good intentions followed up by bad legislation, whether it be State or Federal or both. Nobody wants contaminated water in rivers or lakes, the question is how to go about protecting them.
  13. The COE would have to approve the permits, nothing about managing the construction.
  14. Still nothing in there about the COE building it. Don't get me wrong, jump hough all the hoops and have enough money and the COE could certainly handle the construction.
  15. I saw nothing in the article that indictates the COE would be building anything. Perhaps I missed it?

    What's Cooking?

Mmm, I have been wanting a big pot of either oyster stew or Jambalaya. Had a hankering for "tortizzas" which indulged last night. Nothing more than a flour tortilla with marinara, cheese, pepperoni, and whatever else you like. Slide it into a skillet and when it's melted the bottom is crisped up. Super thin crust pizza I guess.
  17. I don't think the COE has a dog in this fight.
  18. Not much here, some snow but melting as fast as it cimes, mixed with rain and sleet. Everything soggy and muddy. I have cabin fever so been piddling around sowing some lespedeza, fixing a couple of old Colman lanterns, fixing a picnic table, and now watch the Chiefs and smelling supper.

    What's Cooking?

Ham and beans is usually good, but cornbread in cast iron (to get the crust) is "da bomb". And I aint even a big cornbread guy.
  20. Now there is a trend that we don't need.
  21. Lower main lake is pretry food. Upper arms at least down to 83 marina look stained. Outflow up to 1000 cfs, which isn't a real heavy flow but may help to pull the stained water further down. Haven't been over on the Lindley side but would guess stained watwr is at least as far as Nemo park. FYI the boat ramp at Lightfoot will be closed next week Jan 7th through 11th for repairs. Will not be able to launch at all during that time.
  22. Awesome, heck that kind of day would make me happy anymore. Road trip, fishing and get to help work on an ATV, kids dream about such days.
  23. I kind of liked Bambi. Don't know how they would keep me awake after the first couple times though.

    What's Cooking?

It All Sounded And Looked good, Didnt Mean It To Sound bad. Just not my thing I guess. I thought it was better than my experience with a chocolate fountain. Now a gravy fountain, that is my style.

    What's Cooking?

Did a fondue with friends many years ago. Was OK, but seemed like a complicated way to eat cheese to me.
