Sounds tasty RPS, I love chorizo. We usually have a super bowl party at a friends house and nobody really cares who is playing. Probably some 7 layer dip, and a bunch of wings, grazing food they call it.

I have visions of walleye and crappie dancing in my head already.

It's OK Joe I laughed. Post up about some toast or scrambled eggs you made and I will forgive you.

I read that as two TONS of clams at first Well my nap cooked my goose, or.more correctly over cooked my ham. Show of hands for how many saw that one coming? Had to soak the slices in the liqua-pig at the bottom of them pan hoping to re hydrate it a little. Not bad dry but enough to irritate me. Flavor is good, i mean it is ham with a slight citrus kick, aint bad.

Haha, it's not how many ounces your rod can hold, more about how well you cast it. Darn phone and its sensitive buttons. I text like fat people jog, slow and bouncy.

On my second day in a row of grampa duty. Not sure who is keeping who out of trouble, but since I don't like premade food I brought a small country cured ham with me to make for daughter, SIL, and grandsons supper. I also am not a fan of most glazes but thought I would give it a try. 1 can frozen orange juice concentrate, enough sprite to make it liquid, and some orange slices on top for the purty factor. Might be good, might go horribly bad, especially since I have never baked a ham myself and I am planning a nap during the baking since grandson is napping too. Tried to use him as a second person to get 2 extra boxes of .22 LR shells this morning but apparently I didn't do a very good job of making him look 18 yrs old.

LOL, at least I am not that bad. I have spent the last several years upgrading to better rods and reels, the old or cheap ones I put in our church garage sale or give away. Don't think I have more than 20 left.

I will be the first to admit the Bernie is not a true socialist though he does have some socialist leanings, some of his ideas are good. But again the president doesn't have the power to do basically any of the things he talks about that will take congressional action, good luck with that. My biggest problem with government programs is that we talk about it like it's a big pot of free money. Remember that government can give nothing away that it it first does not take away from someone else. I have no issues with higher taxes on upper income levels, I just don't like to see it wasted. Any new taxes should come with a sunset clause that automatically expires after say 10 years unless voted on to renew. And we are going to count on the government to run a new funding program, the same government at the higher levels that couldn't run a 1 sow hog farm without screwing it up. I work for the federal government and have seen too many times where the local offices are well run but the farther up the food chain you go the worse their ability to manage becomes.

I just hate it when someone take a topic off course and . . . . Wait um I may have started that drift. I laughed at it chief but k ew when I saw it as gonna be some fussin. I almost felt bad, almost. Joe keep posting at least the last ones I can understand. And so I don't completely contribute to the drift on this one, if you are gonna fry up a smallmouth fillet a generous amount of Cajun seasoning in the meal helps a lot.

I have done many an unintended catch and release in walleye, any more instead of trying to net them by myself I swing them up and in, amazing how much better my percentage has been since then and a bunch of them do fall off, right into my boat.

Be sitting at at a gravel bar campfire, my shoes still damp from fishing that last hole before making camp, with my grandson, my son and any other family members that care to go. Listening to the creek gurgle past the canoes. Belly full, campfire burning down and know that my love of life and outdoors has been passed on. And that my son is a man who will stand tall and proud as he goes through lifes challenges. After that I am gonna get a cold beer at Hooters.

I am pretending that was a white bass. Is it just me or was the fillet board completely backward for a right hand person. It obviously worked but I would have stabbed myself several times working that way.
-
Part of me wants to ask if there is a proper way to hold a bass while filleting it, but I am thin skinned and get my feelings hurt easily.

BFL angler stabbed to death after tournament

Heck with the fly fishing guys, I want bass fisherman with 7' worm rods beating the crap out of somebody, hopefully it won't be one of them that stabs me. -
I tend to.use a spicy Arribata sauce instead of pizza sauce, gives it just a little kick. Then whatever cheeses, meats or anything lying around. I have always used flour tortillas because I like them better, and made them in a skillet. At one point my son was fascinated because I put a tortilla on top as well sort of a pizza pie, was messy (mostly because I had way too much stuff in it) but delicious.

Shepard pie, or Hobo stew with a crust. Still delicious. I am on Grampa duty today so it's a sausage egg and cheese McGriddle and paw patrol for breakfast. My favorite breakfast even better than a pile of greasy unhealthy stuff from an old skillet on a gravel bar with boiling hot coffee and smoke in my eyes. But only by a little.

Car is long gone now, but it happens occasionally, usually someone not familiar with area and in the dark, add in some rain and high water well it can sneak up on someone going too fast real quick. The lowest sign post was actually in the water a couple feet, but he passed an earlier signal and a reflective rumble strip as well. Very fortunately the driver was not hurt, have worked some over the years that ended tragically. Will happily settle for this outcome.

JoeD, why not? Any worse than how we react over someone's new boat, a fishing lure, or our favorite baseball teams? Besides I always wash my hands after reading OA forums.

Never caught one on BS, honestly didn't know they were there and have fished there in years. But ones I have caught in other places they are one of the best eating fish anywhere. Between them, crappie, walleye, bluegill, and goggle eye I count eat myself to death probably.
-
Chief, we call them "tort-izza" at my house. Occasionally my grown daughter will still ask me to make her one.

Wow don't read a topic for a while and it explodes. In the incident where the young man was killed, terrible but I have no idea what happened and in reality neither does his brother for sure. As for carrying a firearm, carry, don't carry whatever makes you happy as long as you are legal. Be aware of your surroundings, if you get that prickly feeling on thr back of your neck (most of you know what I am saying) LISTEN to what it is telling you don't ignore it. As for having your weapon confiscated after a shoot, almost certain to happen at least temporarily, not a problem to me even if it was the bestest, most expensive and favorite weapon I owned, I like my life more. If you get involved in someone else's fight, well better be sure enough to bet your freedom on it, because you are. Should be no issues with losing other weapons you might own or CCW permit until convicted of a crime. What else, yes carrying concealed or in the open while working is not feasible for many. Working in an office sure, mechanic not so much everyone has the option. More often than not I don't carry but that is my choice. Whatever you choose to do simply pay attention, use good common sense and continue on with life. -
Plain Jane old meatloaf, hambuger, ground venison, and pork sausage mixed together. Comes out very tender, barely holds together to make a sandwich, sadly no good red onion available to put a slice on top. As for beer Budweiser is good beer, always the same no surprises, obviously needs to be cold. However I like dark strong beer, give me a fat tire, seal stout, or good amber like Dos Equis, makes me no difference where its made. Summertime I love a Shock top lemon Shandy. Lately I have taken more of a liking to full bodied red wine, not dry ones though.

Solved the problem of newbies on the boat ramp!
MOPanfisher replied to gitnby's topic in Table Rock Lake
I am glad that was his boat and not mine the skidded to a stop on the concrete ramp. maybe I am just to timid with my toys. If I just had a good trailer wench my problems would be solved, or maybe just begin,. just teasing. -
Not quite, my own but I do manage the ones on Pomme for the Corps of Engineers.

I don't know what a redhot Riplets is but since I had hamburger helper for supper it sounds good.
