What I was trying to ask... was were this fish bitting elsewhere in the pond that day.

Short of a very long story, I had a pumpkin and zucchini grow inches away from each other. We ate two zucchini. The first one was perfectly normal. The second on had huge seeds and the inside sort of smelled like pumkin. Is it possible that the cross pollinated? Either way, it was really good fried with red tators.

Can you imagine what it must have been like when there were miles and miles of them. The ecosystem that must of drove would be amazing to see.

Did you know that tens of thousands of chestnut roots still grow saplings to this day, but they quickly die after getting half a dozen inches tall. So amazing and sad at the same time.

I heard that the resistant seeds come from only a handful of trees that made it through the blight. Don't know how true that is. Thanks for sharing.

Hey all you locals. I'm thinking about taking the wife and daughter to Johnson Shut-ins this weekend to beat the heat a little. Will it be a mad house and not worth the trip from STL/IL? I've never been so I have no idea what I'm getting myself into. Thanks in advance.

Now that is now what we are saying. Otters eat a lot of things besides fish so your estimates on fish pressure are a little off. No one said we aren't can't be part of the ecosystem. What most if not all of are saying, we can't abuse it. When you poach you abuse it.
