What fun is that.

I was wondering this weekend as I was fly fishing for gills what a type of fly I could design for spin fishing that was built specifically to tip with worms. Any ideas?

Why are the pools between the riffles in the Ozarks "dead water". Why are they not full of crappie, big blue gills, flat heads, and channel cats. I understand why smallmouth like the current, but I don't understand why still water fish don't live in these areas.

Anyone fished the lakes in Horseshoe State Park in Il? The one in St. Louis area, not the one down south. I drive by it a lot on my way to work, and thinking about trying it out.

First fish I caught on the fly was a catfish... nice five pounder.

My best friend's family did that with the stock tank after banking lining the Missouri. Seemed to make a difference. Just need an air machine and a good filter. Then they would hang and bleed them. There fish/game fries (parties) were awesome.

This made me think back and smile. In six grade science, we used to get extra points for bringing different animals and nature related stuff. One of the items was mice... for the class Alligator. My buddy Fred made mice traps out of pringles cans that look so much like a smaller version of that. They worked for him, hope that works for you.
