  1. Put in at Old 86 or drive to Enid ramp for free.
  2. Fat Boy, I have enjoyed the major butt kickings from you and Mr. Busby, The Fanns, and Mr. Brantly over the last 6-8 weeks. Keep doing what you are doing and don't let people get to you. I am in the crowd that is wondering: "What the heck are they doing" It has been impressive to see these guys catch these bags. You all have indeed figured where these fish are setting up and are fishing for the right bites. I know for a fact it hasn't been a whack fest out there but things are changing by the minute now. Good luck to everyone!
  3. Ron, Unfortunately not this year. Family ball games this week. Hopefully will try next year since the Elites normally come every two years.
  4. I would like to see what they would catch if they were allowed to use the A-rig! It will still be scary what they will catch using standard equipment. It will be fun.
  5. Every cast has the potential for a fish and a bannana in the boat is a good snack.
  6. Well darn! Two good days of fishing if the lightning and thunder doesn't cancel the first day, then high skys and a cold front bringing up the rear for the final two days. Will be interesting.
  7. Versatility will be main thing. Seems like when the pro's get here except for a couple of years ago when FLW was here that normally a front will blow thru. Fishing will be solid for two days and then once the high skys come in the fish get into their usual funky mood and slowing down with some jigs or finesse stuff puts them over the top. I look for consisitancy being the overall winner here. They way things look is that the James River and Long Creek will be a big player depending upon how much rain we are to be getting. The Mid-lake section from KC-Campbell Point could bust loose with possible rain and warm weather leading up to the event. It will be a good FISHING tournament instead of bed-fish/blind fishing tournmant. These guys will catch them no matter the conditions and the way the weather is looking they are going WHACK them.
  8. Very busy with the Bass Cat Invitational. Heard the Cystic Tournament the weekend before was won with 15lbs. Don't know what to tell you everytime I have fished over there things change week to week this time of the year especially during this two weeks of 200-400 boats fishing the lake. Enjoy and have fun. Just keep an open mind and fish what feels right.
  9. From the 86 bridge up brushy creek and long creek all the way to the 311 bridge is good fishing for the Oakley Big Bass Tournament. Majority of the fish and the winning fish are in that area of the lake and are caught there during the tournament. Be used to combat fishing when that thing kicks off however.
  10. That brown wart doesn't catch any fish on table rock!
  11. The wart bite is trying to get going. The blade bite in some stained water will be dynamite if they get another good rain before the tournament starts.
  12. I had plenty of wind in the areas that I fished and mixed in the rig when the water clarity wasn't to dirty. Just didn't get any results on it this time.
  13. Thats some good fishing. Our club fished sunday on the dam end of the lake, I finished 2nd with a whopping 8.80lbs with four fish. 1st was 10.15lbs for 5. The guys that stayed in the clear water throwing the rigs didn't catch much. I caught one on the rig early and at 10:45 I headed up Long Creek and caught the rest of my keepers on a wart and had my 5th fish on a couple of times couldn't see how big they were due to the mud but they felt like solid fish.
  14. Yes, depends on water color. Natural colors in green/clear water. Dirty water chartrueuse/white black/blue.
  15. Pre-spawn extravaganza!!! Depending on wind or fronts. If there is stable weather with some wind, jerkbait, spinnerbait, crank. Jigs will always catch fish on T-Rock. Finesse fisherman will catch their fish also. It will be won 15ft or less. They are going to hit the nail on the head. It will be exciting. I am wondering what the big fish of the tournament will be? 16-18lbs average will be close to the top. There will be 20lb bags caught. They will showcase why Table Rock is one of the top lakes in the country to come and fish. Looking forward to it. 70lbs plus will be the winner.
  16. Chatterbait is a hidden secret as well.
  17. Getting my warts ready for battle. Love it when the Kings gets muddy this time of year. Next, we need several days of sun at least 50 degree air temps.
  18. Romp Hole is way up the kings into Arkansas FYI. There can be the motherload of all whites up there when everything is right.
  19. Best spinnerbait bite I have seen in a while. I have a new pattern if we have a flood like that again "trash hook" pattern. Caught so many solid fish up to 6lbs on the trash hooks at Baxter and other camp grounds that year. Awesome.
  20. Agree the blacks have come back really well. Also, the smallmouth are doing well. Spots are our lakes lifeblood those things appear everywhere. Our lake when it is fishing good is #1 across the country because if you get the right bites you can have 4lbers across the board and have each species of fish to do it with. No other lake that I know of can When she is tough she is as tough as it gets. Makes us better fishermen in the end. Finesse fish, power fish, shallow water to deep water. Clear water or stained. You can do it all on this lake except for grass. Maybe again when the lake floods you can catch them in grass and weeds with a spinnerbait.
  21. Fished the AiA team also, and caught plenty of keepers but nothing over 16inches. Culled 3 different fish to achieve a whopping 10.17lbs. Was standing near Mark Fann as another team was talking for information and asked "if them fish came from long creek", Mr. Fann had a grin on his face and said they were "everywhere" fish. I don't think it matters to the Fann boys, this time of year they know where to go and do it year after year. Hats off to them and Mr. Busby, and Brantley. Competed against them in the Winter Series this year and have seen them bust big sacks since the New Year.
  22. Champ, I would try to catch all the legal kentuckies that I could and see where you shake out. Probably do well. Good luck. The tougher tournaments are the easiest to win due to alot of the anglers beating themselves before the tournament starts. Its all between the ears.
  23. I would show my true colors if I knew I lost the classic. I wouldn't be rude to nobody but I would be very dragged down. Its hard to say what I would really do if I was in that situation. "I guess I would be professional" about it. Tough situation to go through. Never have been around Edwin, will maybe find out what he is like when they come to Table Rock. I know Roland Martin isn't the greatest person to be around.
  24. Zoom Ole Monster or Powerbait, Plum, or Tequila Sunrise. Nightime-black blue, electric blue, plum also. 10-12inch.
  25. You can pull out any new bait that has never been used and if you are bangin it off rip/rap or anything plus catching a crap load of fish it will look like it has been used for years. The teeth on bass if they are crawdads are very rough and sharp. I would like to see Howell's hands after catching all those bass.
