  1. X's 2 on the jig and pig. Hammered them Saturday with the front coming in with 30 plus keepers with several over 3.5 lbs. Mixed bag of largemouth, kentuckies, and Smallies.
  2. Appreciate it.
  3. X's 2 on the points.
  4. If they are "shutdown" why are the rangers and other officials patrolling the ramps and campgrounds are they going to get bonuses for writing extra citations. There isn't any park attendants are there? I just think it is funny that the rangers are willing to write citations when we have a pass that allows us to use their facilties. I need to get my long necked boots because the CRAP is getting to high to deal with.
  5. Just what powerdrive said we need to make adjustments in order to catch post frontal fish. I have had to change from flipping a 1/2oz jig to a 1/4oz tube if I am fishing wood or laydowns. Also, if I was catching them on a jig before the front by letting it hit bottom and then hopping it, I would adjust to letting it hit bottom and soaking the jig and becoming a line watcher. My experience for the most part if fish are shallow during a post frontal day you can still get them to bite. They seem to slap at a crankbait or spinnerbait if you are covering water. What I do then is either downsize the blades or size of the crankbait or somtimes I don't change the bait but I change the retrieve. Also, fish as tight to the cover as possible the fish are still there but they are affected by the pressure change. Old saying: "Never leave fish to find fish." There is also a very good Bassmaster show that was held on Dardanelle a few years back and the final six made adjustments after a cold front blasted through the area. KVD was one of the six and he changed and caught almost 20lbs to nearly beat Mark Menedez. Its all between the ears for us fisherman but stubborness normally dooms us on lake.
  6. Fished Saturday out of HWY 12, caught 14 short fish with one small keeper spot. 5 came on topwater the rest were dragging small jigs and carolina rigs.
  7. 2x's Champ, ha ha ha.
  8. I know the first year that the tournament was put on the winning fish I believe was caught up the Kings River somewhere. However, a majority of the weigh fish are caught from the bridge up Long Creek and Brushy Creek.
  9. Coming from BASS: Marshal registration for the Bassmaster Classic and the 2014 Bassmaster Elite Series begins online at Bassmaster.com for B.A.S.S. Nation and Life members on Oct. 1 at 9 a.m. CT. Phone registration for B.A.S.S. Nation and Life members begins Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. CT by calling 877-227-7872. Other B.A.S.S. members may register online beginning Oct. 8 at 9 a.m. CT and by phone beginning Oct. 10 at 9 a.m. CT.
  10. According to BASS, if you are just a member like myself on Oct 8 is when it opens up online. A few days after if you want to call in you can call their numbers. It is all located online. They have lifetime members and something else where they can register a week earlier I believe. It shouldn't make a big difference in getting a spot for Table Rock I don't believe.
  11. Jason, the cost is $100 a day to spend all day with a Elite Pro and all of those guys are good. It would be well worth the time I believe. The only thing I would have a hard time with would be is not being able to fish especially if they go to Whack them.
  12. If you are looking at a jerkbait that is similiar to the Megabass, the RC Sticks are nearly identical plus the price is amazing. Pro Blue, Secret Night, and Cosmic Shad are the colors that work well for me on the Rock. If the fish are deeper I throw Lucky Craft pointers DD models, in Ghost Minnow or Table Rock Shad. Bought some McSticks for this year and to me they look like and act like a short billed rogue. They dart a little bit more than a rogue.
  13. According to BASS, as long as the reel isn't engaged while you are trolling away from your bait "long line-ing" is permitted. This was brought up a couple of years ago when they were on Douglas Lake fishing crankbaits 30ft.
  14. Hopefully, I might get to be a Marshall. Will see once Oct. 9 comes and I try to apply for a spot. Would like to see how they break down our local lake. It could be a pre-spawn whack fest with Warts and Jerkbaits depending upon the Winter we have this year. Looking forward to it.
  15. Fished this weekend and caught several short non-keepers both spots and blacks. Didn't find any smallies but was looking for mainly largemouth. Caught everything on topwaters and small jigs. Fished from Mid-Lake to Monte-Ne and caught fish everywhere we stopped but could find any keepers.
  16. Yes, it is the makeup date from last May.
  17. Appreciate it fellas, will post how everything goes this weekend.
  18. Just curious what the bass fishing has been with this hot weather will be fishing saturday and sunday and didn't know weather to focus shallow with the cool front coming in or stay deep and try to finesse fish for them?
  19. That is very interesting, is it a suspending jerkbait?
  20. I was suprised to see that there wasn't at least an 18lb bag brought in that is what it has been taking to win the Joe Bass the last two tournaments. Maybe they are being conservative with their fish catches since it is a 3 day tournament.
  21. I have had the pleasure to see to Spotted bass just over 6lbs caught by my father in the early 90's. He caught one up West Fisher Creek in October, and in January the same year he caught one on the road bed just past Viola ramp in 45ft vertical jigging a jig.
  22. I believe the Wal-Mart boat is Wesley Strader.
  23. The winners will immediately try to sell them to get paid.
  24. This tournament is wide open. A person can win this thing shallow or deep, it will be interesting to see what the weight will be.
  25. I would take a look at the jig first before comparing to see if it is a carbon copy. The colors don't even come close to the pond scum perch that War Eagle produces. The head design alone is completely different.
