  1. Will be heading up to fish Pomme for bass in a few weeks and was curious which side of the lake to fish? The Pomme Side or Lindley?
  2. Is the tournament at 7am or 7pm? The regattas just show the mill creek friday nighter so far.
  3. 7.47 would be my guess. But T-Rock is fishing better than ever and there are alot of big hungry fish out there, If another 8lber or bigger was brought in it wouldn't suprise me. Hopefully, I can cash a time or time with my wife on our anniversary this weekend. This will be our 3rd time fishing in it. Made a check the 1st year and was hampered by small fish last year. Good luck to all.
  4. Hodge, I agree with you. The Bass Cat rules doesn't make any since since a majority of the anglers at that time of year will be on those long flats and the tourney is more that likely won because of it. A majority of anglers fish C-rigs and F-ball jigs this way and nothing is said about because it is still making a cast and slowling working it back to the boat and making another cast.
  5. If you have a 100-70lb thrust trolling motor and set that thing on high you are moving just as fast as you would with a kicker motor or idling. Same function as trolling if a person has thrown a bait behind the boat and is holding it over the side with their foot on the trolling motor. However, using the wind is different, guys up north use a controlled drift to fish they will either motor over a spot drop the trolling motor and let the wind blow them across the spot they then use the trolling motor to try and stay on the spot as long as they can to stay in position controlling their drift, otherwise known as dragging. Sometimes that is the only way to fish if the conditions are extreame and you don't have protected pockets to fish in.
  6. Appreciate the info guys and will let you know how the trip goes.
  7. Gone Fishing, momentum is a funny thing isn't it. Great Job!
  8. Agree, some slip through the cracks of the dams and swim along ways to find food. Big sprawling lake. Would rather them stay in Beaver, since TR and Bull are fishing unbelievable now.
  9. I am a member of Ozark Anglers and fish Table Rock but I am heading to Stockton for a bass fishing trip and am curious to which area of the lake to concentrate on. Is the fishing similar to fishing Table Rock Lake or is it totally different. Are the fish in all phases of the spawn or are they slowing down since we had a mild winter and are more post spawn. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Jason, all keepers except for one came on DT 16's and DD22's, crawfish/shad colors if you are hitting the areas that I think you are hitting you should be able to run a good pattern as long as there is decent wind. Our other fish smoked a spook jr he had a 4lb body but weighed just over 3lbs looked like a big male to me. Keep up the good work at Mill Creek tonight. See ya around.
  11. Fished the Meeks Invitational out of Aunts creek with Dad and brought in a 5 fish limit that was 14 and change. The difference maker was a 5.74 spawned out fish Dad caught on a crankbait. That was our 4th keeper fish at the time and it was 10:30am. We didn't get another keeper bite until 1:00pm. That was our 5th and smallest fish. Ended up 6th out of 66 boats. 1st place was a mid 16lb bag with twin 4 pounders that were spawned out. The word was cranking around spawning pockets where there was some transition in the bank. All our fish came out of 5-12ft of water. Wind and big rocks was the key for us.
  12. Looks like the second picture that fish is spawned out already. Nice report there isn't a better feeling when you are night fishing and your throwing a bait of some kind and you feel that hard thump. Will be going soon after dark as well.
  13. I fish alot of the river arms or go way up the creeks most of the time and if I see anything in the water with a few feet of water around it I always flip a jig or texas rig of some kind and have consistant bites if the water temps are above 45 degrees. The back of deep cuts and pockets in the river arms always have alot of debris piles and they are awesome areas to flip in. Like all the other replies when the water is in the bushes there will be fish in them and if you come along the right stretch you can have a good bag of fish in 5 casts.
  14. On the final day post on FLW, they said Shuffield was fishing the cow creek area.
  15. Crappie fishing is good in the Kings river area from what I have been told. That was where I was at catching largemouth. Crappie moved real shallow inside the bushes and on debris filled pockets. Standard crappie jigs and basic colors have been working. Should work in the same areas where there is dirty water.
  16. Had been fishing clearer water areas in the Baxter area for the last couple of days and was struggling like everyone else. Caught a few keepers on weightless senkos and shakeyheads around the bushes but couldn't get around a big female. Changed areas and went to the dirty water yesterday and went power fishing. Threw chartreuse and white spinnerbaits as shallow as I could throw one in the little lanes and holes of the bushes and caught a solid limit of 14 lbs with a post-spawned 5lber. I did notice a pile of fish sitting at the mouth of this pocket in 40ft of water suspended at 20 ft. I would say another wave of fish is coming in and some already may have moved out after catching that nice female.
  17. Forgot about Mr. King he is nails on The Rock.
  18. I look for the locals to put a beat down on them. Dodson and Long they now what to do and where to look when these conditions are the way they are. It will be interesting.
  19. True that.
  20. Just like the winner said you still have to find the fish.
  21. Tough day yesterday as well. Fished Baxter area from 2:30-6:00pm. Caught two non keepers. One on a jig and an a-rig. Threw the stickbait and wart didn't get a bite. Oh well, get after them another day.
  22. Last I heard about the stocking of stripers was that enough letters were sent in to not stock stripers. However, was told that the AGFC would compare lakes with stripers to Bull Shoals and see if the bass fishing is being affected or not. They will do this for 3 years and make another decison on stocking Bull Shoals then. For right now they will not be stocking stripers.
  23. Been using the KVD Quantum series that sold for $100 last year and have not had a problem.
  24. If you look at the last Winter Series tournament its is the top guys that are always on fish and if you had 24 lbs you didn't get a check. I think the lake is just fishing so good right now due to the mild winter that the fish are shallower than normal and the weather is stable so they are not going anywhere. We will have an earlier spawn if the weather stays mild after this weekend. Also, I think this March we be even better as far as consistant weights in tournaments if the weather warms a little bit. The everstart, bfls, FLW tour will be hitting the lake at the perfect time it will blow our mind. Enjoy the moment throw the A-rig or not and have some fun.
