  1. Looking to bye a quality 7' or longer spinning rod medium action. Found one, thanks
  2. In my years on the Rock, nastier the weather better the bite.
  3. Put in at 39 bridge with steady rain. Hit bluffs and bluff ends up to big m and back. Water temp 48.9-52.6 Found fish in 8-14 fow and they were biting! Most fish came on hand tied 3/8 oz fb jig brown and red with watermelon critter craw trailer. Had 6 on a phantom red wart with 2 keeps. 13 on jig with 7 keeps. All blacks with 4 spots. Rain quit around 2 and so did the bite. Fish were picking up jig and swimming to deeper water, had to be a line watcher, and really concentrate. Had best trip this year so far. Tight lines and CPR
  4. Up the river from sweet water lake makes a big right turn bluff on the right has a white statue of a deer up high on bluff made of rock.
  5. Nice report, the mag wart can be deadly in off colorered water, they displace a lot of water and defect great off rocks and wood.
  6. Started at 9am hitting swings and transition banks with wart and hot n tot, lots of action mostly spots banging the bottom. I use 8 lb test to get the bait deeper and spinning reel on7'6" medium action rod. Phantom red wart and red craw hot n tot. Caught 14 with 2 keeps both on hot n tot. Fished up to deer bluff. Changed to 3/4 oz fb jig on flats next to channel and caught 4 2 keeper blacks and two short spots. Then the rain came big time, took shelter in a slip and waited out storm for over hour then loaded up. Water temp 48.9-54.6 Tight lines and CPR
  7. 47.6-51.8
  8. Put in at 11am to replace a few bunks on trailer and fished for 3 hours. Goof water color but no wind and high skies. Tried the gambit of crankbaits not a bite. Fished up to viney creek on swings and bluff ends. On way back hit some long flat pea gravel runouts and with 1/2 fb jig and found 6 short spots, that was it. Noticed thousands of inch and 1/2 baitfish schooling and dying everywhere. I guess that's what made it so tuff, but I'm sure someone was on em. Tight lines and cprt
  9. Still a good day, thanks for reporting and I always learn and enjoy reading your posts!
  10. Great job and big fish!
  11. Nice fish and report.
  12. You bet most guys are on chunk rock banks and swings so I had bluffs to myself, never seen another boat on a bluff all day. Until water temp gets above 50-52 I hit bluffs and generally have them to myself, I think there is always fish on bluffs year round and especially when water temp below 50
  13. Put in at 9:30 and ramp was full. Water temp 47.3 at mouth of white river. Hit bluffs all day to Panther creek and back, Warmest water I found was 49.7 Ended up with 14 and 4 keeps. 7 blacks 6 spots and 1 brownie. Half on green phantom wart rest on homemade 1/2 oz brown/purple fb jig with watermelon red critter craw trailer. All but one keeper on jig, fish were in 10-15 for. Soft bite rod would just load up. Tons of boats out for a weekday. Tight lines and CPR
  14. Gonna start off my season this coming week and was surprised no one is on a jig bite. With the fish moving up should be a strong jig bite.
  15. Tried both wart and crawler on 50 plus degree swings slow rolling and banging rocks, not a bite.
  16. Bo, you are the man, I fished today as well on proven banks but got skunked, around Indain area. Congrats to you and your ability to find and catch fish!!!!
  17. Tried to put in at Indian, closed, so put in at State Park. Two guys loading up as I launched at 10am, right away bad sign. Wind blowing 15-20 out of the south water was way off colorered at ramp. Went up to point 5 area clear water so tried varmint, little jig and stickbait, nothing. Went in little Indian to get out of the wind and 4 boats in there with me, varmint and 5/16 jig notta. Tried some tried and true mainlake channel banks but Way to much wind for the varmint, so tried fg jig and slow rolling blade, zipola. Tried slowing down and concentrating on proven channel bank all day, not a sniff. First time in memory for long time skunked on the Rock! Water temperature 48-51. Tried my best but nothing to show for it, humbled by the day but still had fun trying! I'll get em next time! Tight lines and CPR
  18. Catch and release all bass, be it Largemouth, smallmouth, kentuckies, or meanmouth! Mother nature will take care of things as she alway does! Mankind steps in and tries the best to regulate length limits and numbers allowed to keep. MDC is one of the best conservation agencies in the USA and is on the pulse of all issues that arise and do their best for the environment. Bass of all species should be handled carefully so future generations can enjoy catching some as we have the opportunity to now! Tight lines and CPR Hammertime
  19. Those are some huge white crappie slabs! And nice bass also, congrats and thanks for sharing!
  20. Good report, was wondering water clarity on both sides?
  21. I completely agree with you Bo, I believe that on any body of water that a group of bass only feed at night! And in my experience average size is much larger than day average. These fish avoid all the traffic and noise of daytime lake activitie and move up to feed at night. I have caught 95% of my biggest bass at night.
  22. Ben thanks for posting current lake temps, priceless info! Much appreciated!
  23. Great report, and nice pics! You have a uncanny nack of catching trout, hats off to you. Have had several buddies catch one at the dam area, and way up white river as you do. I fish that area often and have never caught a trout, several eyes but never a trout. Congradulations, I want to join that club! Merry Christmas to all!
  24. Great day! Thanks for the report, did you ever throw a jig during your outing?
  25. Killer information Ben, water temperature is always my first concern second is clairidy! It's awesome to have "real" time info like you're providing! It's priceless! Many thanks!
