  1. Looking to buy a A45 25 pitch tempest prop that is great shape and never been worked on. Can meet at Table Rock or Springield, thanks.
  2. Good for her, she's a cutie and her smile tells the story! Thanks for sharing your trip and the great pic!
  3. No toothy fish, lots of boats out on mainlake, very few in the river. Was hoping for a bonus eye, but didn't happen, bummer.
  4. Put in at 9:30, water temperature 43.8 at ramp and warmest I fished was 45.6. Went up River under bridge and stayed on channel with jig and rogue for over 2 hours, not a bite. Went down past Spingfield cove and fished channel banks with jig, rogue and grub all the way to twin bridges and not a bite! It's 3:00 and I starting to worry bout maybe skunk? Started working back towards ramp, tried some swings and wind blown channels with wart and rk, nothing. Really worried about skunk! So I put on a green pumpkin gitzit with 1/8 oz head and hit last two long channel banks before heading home. Bam, hooked a short black and was relieved to finally catch one.? Ended up catching 5 total, 4 blacks with one keeper and 1 keeper spot. Tuff bite for me, but sure had fun trying to get something working . Fish I did find where on straight bluffs in 12-18 fow. CPR and tight lines!
  5. Those are great results with water temps that low! Congrats on figuring them out! Nice bass, and thanks for the report and pic!
  6. Way to get out and enjoy the day! You are so right, we are truely blessed to live in this neck of the the woods!
  7. Nice, water temps?
  8. Was on Lake Fork, another north/south lake in mid March 2008 with my son. Have been to Fork since 93 and over 40 times and know how the wind can blow. Sometimes it's so bad you just stay in the room and grumble because you can't launch. Anyways, we were staying at Oakridge that time, put in and went north up in Glade creek and was fishing spawning flats. We noticed the wind picking up but didn't think much about it as we were on fish and having a ball. Working our way back out we noticed several boats leaving only to return, hum, what's up? We idled out towards mainlake and seen why 8-10 ft rollers out of the south, wow, biggest waves I've ever seen. So we where stuck and just continued fishing for around 4 more hours till finally my son says dad that last boat that left didn't come back, so they made it, let's get out of here! So idled out to mouth and seen a few more bigger boats go and make it south. My rig is a 19'6" Nitro and not a big 20 plus like many we seen make the treacherous ride. We decieded to put all gear up lock all lids and bilge on make a run. 6-8ft rollers came straight at us, got rig straight against them and had the scariest ride ever but made back under both bridges and in our cove. Put boat on bank and waited it out till we could safety load on trailer and go to our room. What a experience!!
  9. Heading Tuesday, not sure which area but probably Cape.
  10. Hey guys stop hijacking this thread!
  11. Dan, everyone has the right to keep bass crappie or any other species within legal limits. I don't keep any bass for the simple reason I'm a bass fisherman and they are never stocked and want you me or other anglers to enjoy them again and again.
  12. If you're ever in the mood for fish, buy some ocean perch or talipa at the store, much more economical than spending tons of money going fishing. Put the math to it the next time you bring home bass to eat, the cost is 10 times the pound.
  13. I have never complained about fishing results, I'm an accomplished angler and haven't been skunked on the Rock ever and Stockton once since 81. Yes I would like to have wolves in my back yard, humans killed them all! I never have or will complain about fishing, I take what's given and make the best out of it!!
  14. I've never keep a bass Ever, have caught them up to 11 lbs and released ever single one so next year I hope to catch em 2lbs bigger! Have never eaten a mess of spots or any species bass. Not in my dna. Crappie and walleye are continually stocked and keep my share of those for eating. I have released many many huge female crappie to hopefully have a successful brood. Of my huge eyes, I ate the 10.79, but since any big girl over 7 I let go so hopefully she can raise a brood.
  15. I don't understand many thoughts on here! God created all these critters and mankind has ether hunted them to extenction or completely wiped out their habitat. Now MDC is trying to reintroduce many different species back to their native land and whomevers livleyhood is affected complains. That unfair and selfish. Live and let live, all the animals were here long before us, it's mankind that had destroyed habitat and is trying to reintroduce some. Thanks MDC! IMO My dad was born and raised on a dairy farm north of Aurora in 1934. He never seen turkeys and only a few deer until MDC started restocking, look how many are around now. But farmers are complaining of crop loss because of the fragile balance. The balance that ourselves, mankind has implemented! That's my opinion!
  16. All but one ate the bait on the pause.
  17. His name is Dale, have stayed there tons in the 90's and early 2000's when my son was young. I'll call and ask him, thanks Dan.
  18. Congrats!!! That's a super duper dandy!!!
  19. As I mentioned Dan, all my huge eyes have come on rogues bass fishing, but it seem walleye fishermen use it for golith eyes! 15 pounds wholly cow!!!!!
  20. Anyone know Stocton lake record eye?
  21. I zoomed in and seen the rattles, so rattle snake right?
  22. Wow, that's a big one! What species?
  23. Put in at 39 bridge at 9:30, only boat there. Temps throughout the day 43.8-46.7 Started on and stayed on channel banks all day. Fished deep diving clown rogue with 3-5 second pause. Fished all the way up to Hickory Hollow. Ended up with 8, 6 blacks with 1 keeper, 1 keeper brownie and a short mean mouth. Active fish I found where 15-20 fow, loaded up at 4:30 CPR and tight lines
  24. D, that big girl sure looks 10 plus! Congrats and thanks for sharing the pic!
  25. Nice job and good report. Thanks for the pics!
