  1. Put in at 5:30 to good color and 81.32 water temperature. Started on swings with yellow magic and caught 4 all short spots, didn't see any schooling action. Went way up past point 15 and caught several on deep little n and slow rolling tandem blade in very stained water on channel banks. Sun started getting high so went further up and caught lots on blade and finesse jig but no keeps. Motored down past Wooley creek and stayed on bluffs with 3/8 finesse jig and had around 15 with two keeps. Caught a bunch of short spots in 20-30 fow on 5/8 oz fb jig as well on long tapered pea gravel points. In hindsight should of started in mainlake but hindsight is always 20/20. Loaded up at 1pm, warmest water I fished 86.3 Tight lines and CPR
  2. Imo, with the shad spawn and water temperatures rising there is a good spoon bite. Like you I like dragging a 5/8 oz fb jig in same area. But I have witnessed a buddy kill me with a spoon. Seems like they want that spoon over jig at times.
  3. Looks deep! Kudos to her for wanting to continue to fish!
  4. Cool, I have some old bagley killer b twos in bleeding shad, but the bill is clear. Wondering if anyone has seen any other cb with a red bull?
  5. First cb I've seen with a red bill, or is that a custom job?
  6. Go fishing Champ, plenty of time to chase the little round ball. Fish are still biting good!
  7. Great looking rig! Is that a glass Lund that they are making now?
  8. Here's mine, a 96 model 896 nitro dc with a 2000 merc 200efi
  9. Great video! As I mentioned before, would be awesome if you add some commentary.
  10. Good job! With lake temps in upper 70's they are gonna start locating on summer haunts. For me this means night fishing with a jig, big worm and single spin blade. Thanks for the report.
  11. Im in on some dusk- night fishing. Let me know, your rig or mine doesn't matter.
  12. Thanks for mentioning cheek meat! I never knew about it, just cleaned one and was surprised how much cheek meat their is. Thanks Dan!
  13. Put in at 10am to good stain and 72.1 water temperature. Went up River and was slow rolling war eagle tandem 1/2 oz blade on channel banks in buck brush. Caught several all shorts and 1 short eye. Decided to head down to swings and bluffs with deeper water close by and game on! 3/8 oz fb jig in black/purple with black/blue rage craw trailer. Had over 30 fish and 1 slab crappie and 1 keeper eye. Those eyes will eat anything! Stayed on same type banks down to Birch and back(water got much clearer and 78.2 temp) at Birch. Ended up with only 6 keeps but had a blast, several back to back cast and at times though I'd get bit on every cast. Fish were in 2-10fow Tight lines and CPR
  14. I night fish a lot, don't use any light. Keeps your night vision and make you concentrate on feel.
  15. I'm glad you got a look at her, I hate loosing a toad without getting a look at her when they just come unbuttoned.
  16. You bet! He is 81 and doesn't get around real good but still loves the lake regardless how many we catch!
  17. Picture says it all! Nice eye!
  18. Short trip with my dad, tried some crappie holes with minnows only 1nice slab and 1channel cat. Changed to bass fishing with 3/8 oz fb jig on bluffs, caught 12 with 4 keeps and 3 keeper eyes. Walleye are feeding! Water temperatures 72.1-76.6 Loaded up at noon. Tight lines and CPR
  19. Put in at 9:30 water temperature 73.4-76.8 where I fished. Started in Indain on mainlake points with 5xd crankbait and fb jig, first 2 hours not a bite, went to mainlake swings and caught several short brownies on cb and lost a very nice black at the boat on a fb jig. Went point 2 area and caught nice spot on fb jig on bluff after trying many points with no luck. Headed to point 5 area and stayed on bluffs with 5xd and caught my first ever black/brownie double with keeper black. I have had multiple doubles over time but first ever black and brownie, kinda cool. 0nly one brownie/ brownie double over time on a wart years ago. Mostly my doubles have been two spots or two blacks. Changed over to some roll outs with c-rig with centipedes and picked up 4 with two squeaker keeper spots. Tuff day for me but had fun trying to figure them out. Tight lines and CPR
  20. Met and fished him in early 90's super humble nice guy! Met and fishing with him after his fame hit, completely different guy, very little time and arrogant !
  21. Very nice! Jig will catch em all, all sport fish love crawdads.
  22. Hold on to those deep little n crankbaits, I'm running low on my favorite colors and went to fin&feather to reload and found out from John that the company that made them(pradco) was sold so no move available and he doesn't know when or if they we be available. I personally love the tight action and use them a lot with great success!
  23. We trolling crankbaits and jigs at precise speed, depth and distance. Zarraspook has it down to a science.
  24. It's always amazed me that so many guys either fish Stockton or Table Rock! Personally I fish both 50/50% and since I live in Republic is about 45 miles to either one. Stockton has always been a numbers lake and the Rock better quality and I love the brownies!
  25. Check out the Rock forum for last two weeks
