Unfortunately, “Stupid Vernon” syndrome trumps pretty much everything else. If you were out there this afternoon you deserved to catch ‘em. I kinda remember being around your age when I was determined and had metabolism and didn’t freeze to death whenever it got below 60!

“Bobber Annie”? Seriously? Can you say that here?

I’ve been holding out for a big payoff from the local Chamber’s and Department of Tourism but it’s getting to the point that even I am getting sick of me. Might have to relook this whole deal........🤫

For what it’s worth we pretty much stunk it up yesterday. Caught about fifteen total with only three keepers in around five hours. Focused on shallow stuff for the most part but it just wasn’t working for us. Primarily tossed Ned and Keitech with very limited success. Caught a nice spot on a bubblegum Fluke and eventually threw spinnerbait and some top water as well as jigs. Nada. Moved a touch deeper and caught a few more but mostly little ten to twelve inch dinks on Ned and Keitech. At least it’s been pretty easy to keep the beer cold. Ain’t venturing out there today. To paraphrase Mr. Babler, “We just ain’t that mad at ‘em.” Unfortunately tomorrow looks even worse. I blame myself....🤦♂️

Dang! Nice goin’!

Hey Bill I just reread your post and something has got to be wrong. I can honest to gosh deploy, retrieve and stow mine easily with one hand while seated. Almost had Mark take a video today to post to demonstrate but didn’t get around to it. I’m a little bigger than you but at 67 I ain’t bench pressing no houses these days but mine releases and raises in both directions without any extra effort at all.

That would suck as many times as you have to do it over the course of a year. As for me, I guess I got lucky too (pretty unusual occurrence) cause I don’t notice a lick of difference between stowing and deploying my Ultrex and the Fortrex that it replaced. Color me happy 😊!

Probably should have kept it. Might have made me famous! After I paid the fine for keeping a sub legal whatever it is of course.

Whew! And I thought I was lost (and I am) with my HDS Gen 3’s but just reading that was enough for me to have go lie down for a bit!

Despite our anxiousness to get out there we didn’t make it until around 3:00. Was hoping the wind might relent at least a little but no soap. Anyways, made it up to near Coney Island and fished pockets on the north side. Caught about a dozen smallies each with five or six on Ned and the rest on a Keitech 3.5 on a 1/8 oz. NuTech head which was stupid in the wind. Just did what everybody else has said they’ve been doing. 8-12 feet on gravel mostly. Threw a white spinner bait a bit on windy banks (which was basically everywhere) but no joy. Just a nasty wind to deal with as it was impossible to escape. No matter how hard we tried to find a somewhat sheltered spot it would follow us and was relentless. Made it back to Rock Lane around 6:00 and messed around there for an hour or so and caught about six more before the hands got cold and we called it quits. Sometimes it sucks to be us but glad to be here nonetheless!

Considering lifting the mojo around midweek. Kinda depends on how nice everybody is between now and then as well as my mostly unpredictable mood swings! Typically five or six straight days of misery is adequate to appease my masochistic side. 🧟♂️

Sorry Quill. Personal injury (especially to the good guys) is never supposed to be part of the deal! However, my powers of agony and destruction are so broad and far reaching that sometimes unintended collateral damage is unavoidable. My sincere apologies and I hope you’re OK!

Thanks Dave - that’s good stuff! Sorry to have thrown (cold) water on you guys’ party! And frost too for that matter..... Hope they keep biting cause we brought lots of hand warmers!

Happy to report that we arrived yesterday afternoon and the rain and the thunder and the lightning and the falling temperatures all appeared as if by magic 🧟♂️ and right on cue! Now I see that Weather Underground is forecasting 47 degrees at 1:00 PM on both Monday and Tuesday. It’s supposed to be raining too so at least there’s that! Good to know that a guy still has his fastball....🤦♂️ In better news, we stopped at Harter House in Springfield on the way down and was able to secure an ample supply of Boston burger, chicken wings and jumbo shrimp 🍤 so we’re all set in that department. So grab your mittens, throw another log on the fire and enjoy! Your welcome!

I’ll check my schedule but I’m sure we can work something out!😉

Well played!😉

Sorry but it looks like they've removed it yet again. If you can find an interview with Dr. Judy Mikovits called "Plandemic" it would be worth your effort. She is one of the country's top viralogist's and worked for Dr. Fauci for many years - before he had her put in jail and placed under a gag order. She's now out of jail and the gag order has expired and she's written a book about what really goes on between the government, research labs and viral engineering. For instance she says that she was deeply involved in working with the Ebola virus and that it was unable to penetrate a human cell. Until they "taught it" how and it wiped out much of Africa. There are numerous other doctors involved all of whom state that we are handling this thing exactly the opposite of how we should be which has been my belief from the beginning. We're making ourselves MORE vulnerable not less and are depleting our immune systems by quarantine and sanitation efforts. Interesting stuff to those who are somewhat openminded and objective.

Sorry but in my opinion the Chicago Sun/Times and pretty much every newspaper in the country is about as far from "reality" as it gets. You gotta look hard and do your research to find dissenting views on anything now days. Becoming harder and harder to be an independent and free thinker and not just follow the propaganda. Youtube keeps taking this interview down but it can still be found and when available I would offer it to those looking for an alternate perspective. Not saying it's true or false I just think it's important to consider dissenting viewpoints and then draw your own conclusions. I believe the future depends on it but that's just me. https://l.messenger.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2FIsuCa6V7prg&h=AT3sJZ-ivSnWvxqt5K69JsmHTnctG9IEwn9AQJh6vpHSYi8L27SKXs32G-PkberEcx63JcVjOyghTlkq2JuOrP89AOcmjokYK0FjinULq5LRUt7i1vJSy3ZnpFPhyYzZDxWvU52PiWTeBnd2rs47fesHOzA

Nope - boat battery. iMac's just old and tired.

We're particularly fond of the Boston burger at Harter House. The stuff around here that claims to be the same thing ain't even close. We've got a couple of Costco steaks to bring and I'm gonna go look for wings this afternoon to bring as well but would way rather get burger down there if the Boston stuff is available.
