That would suck as many times as you have to do it over the course of a year. As for me, I guess I got lucky too (pretty unusual occurrence) cause I donβt notice a lick of difference between stowing and deploying my Ultrex and the Fortrex that it replaced. Color me happy π!

Probably should have kept it. Might have made me famous! After I paid the fine for keeping a sub legal whatever it is of course.

Whew! And I thought I was lost (and I am) with my HDS Gen 3βs but just reading that was enough for me to have go lie down for a bit!

Despite our anxiousness to get out there we didnβt make it until around 3:00. Was hoping the wind might relent at least a little but no soap. Anyways, made it up to near Coney Island and fished pockets on the north side. Caught about a dozen smallies each with five or six on Ned and the rest on a Keitech 3.5 on a 1/8 oz. NuTech head which was stupid in the wind. Just did what everybody else has said theyβve been doing. 8-12 feet on gravel mostly. Threw a white spinner bait a bit on windy banks (which was basically everywhere) but no joy. Just a nasty wind to deal with as it was impossible to escape. No matter how hard we tried to find a somewhat sheltered spot it would follow us and was relentless. Made it back to Rock Lane around 6:00 and messed around there for an hour or so and caught about six more before the hands got cold and we called it quits. Sometimes it sucks to be us but glad to be here nonetheless!

Considering lifting the mojo around midweek. Kinda depends on how nice everybody is between now and then as well as my mostly unpredictable mood swings! Typically five or six straight days of misery is adequate to appease my masochistic side. π§ββοΈ

Sorry Quill. Personal injury (especially to the good guys) is never supposed to be part of the deal! However, my powers of agony and destruction are so broad and far reaching that sometimes unintended collateral damage is unavoidable. My sincere apologies and I hope youβre OK!

Thanks Dave - thatβs good stuff! Sorry to have thrown (cold) water on you guysβ party! And frost too for that matter..... Hope they keep biting cause we brought lots of hand warmers!

Happy to report that we arrived yesterday afternoon and the rain and the thunder and the lightning and the falling temperatures all appeared as if by magic π§ββοΈ and right on cue! Now I see that Weather Underground is forecasting 47 degrees at 1:00 PM on both Monday and Tuesday. Itβs supposed to be raining too so at least thereβs that! Good to know that a guy still has his fastball....π€¦ββοΈ In better news, we stopped at Harter House in Springfield on the way down and was able to secure an ample supply of Boston burger, chicken wings and jumbo shrimp π€ so weβre all set in that department. So grab your mittens, throw another log on the fire and enjoy! Your welcome!

Iβll check my schedule but Iβm sure we can work something out!π

Sorry but it looks like they've removed it yet again. If you can find an interview with Dr. Judy Mikovits called "Plandemic" it would be worth your effort. She is one of the country's top viralogist's and worked for Dr. Fauci for many years - before he had her put in jail and placed under a gag order. She's now out of jail and the gag order has expired and she's written a book about what really goes on between the government, research labs and viral engineering. For instance she says that she was deeply involved in working with the Ebola virus and that it was unable to penetrate a human cell. Until they "taught it" how and it wiped out much of Africa. There are numerous other doctors involved all of whom state that we are handling this thing exactly the opposite of how we should be which has been my belief from the beginning. We're making ourselves MORE vulnerable not less and are depleting our immune systems by quarantine and sanitation efforts. Interesting stuff to those who are somewhat openminded and objective.

Sorry but in my opinion the Chicago Sun/Times and pretty much every newspaper in the country is about as far from "reality" as it gets. You gotta look hard and do your research to find dissenting views on anything now days. Becoming harder and harder to be an independent and free thinker and not just follow the propaganda. Youtube keeps taking this interview down but it can still be found and when available I would offer it to those looking for an alternate perspective. Not saying it's true or false I just think it's important to consider dissenting viewpoints and then draw your own conclusions. I believe the future depends on it but that's just me. https://l.messenger.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2FIsuCa6V7prg&h=AT3sJZ-ivSnWvxqt5K69JsmHTnctG9IEwn9AQJh6vpHSYi8L27SKXs32G-PkberEcx63JcVjOyghTlkq2JuOrP89AOcmjokYK0FjinULq5LRUt7i1vJSy3ZnpFPhyYzZDxWvU52PiWTeBnd2rs47fesHOzA

Nope - boat battery. iMac's just old and tired.

We're particularly fond of the Boston burger at Harter House. The stuff around here that claims to be the same thing ain't even close. We've got a couple of Costco steaks to bring and I'm gonna go look for wings this afternoon to bring as well but would way rather get burger down there if the Boston stuff is available.

Yeah, well, this crap is about to come to a screeching halt. Little bro and me will be there for nine days starting tomorrow so y'all best get out there today and get all you can while you can cause the picken's are fixin' to get slim for a bit. And don't forget to cover all those new plants cause we're bringing another little surprise this year......βοΈ Man, I hate fishin' in the cold.......
-
I'm sure it probably would be but that ain't exactly in our "area". We're suckers that just have to pay whatever it takes to get what we want! Not much improvising going on around here unless a vacuum sealer counts.....π

Costco is where we first noticed it and then Kathy went to Walmart and was gonna grab some burger for dinner and they had ZERO. Finally found some at Price Chopper but it was $6.99 a pound! And that was for the 80/20 stuff. I see now a lot of folks are suspecting price fixing at higher levels of the industry. Why not? Everybody else is trying to figure out a way to get rich off of this deal so why not them? We picked up steaks to bring along but are gonna need wings and burger for sure. Since we leave tomorrow morning there ain't a lot of time left to grocery shop up here.

Bragger. Ask a simple question regarding life sustaining nutritional products and it figures that you would somehow make it all about YOU! Sad. Just sad.π

I'm sure some of you have also been listening with interest as the media bombards us with the latest "crisis" in that there's now going to be a shortage of beef, pork and chicken. Now a quarantine is one thing but if you start messing with my steaks, burgers, chops and dead bird I'm gonna start getting irate. My point here is I'm wondering what if any effect this deal is having on meat availability down y'all's way. Many stores around Kansas City have begun placing limits on the amount of any of the above that one person can buy and I figure it won't take long at all for that stuff to disappear faster than you can say, "Charmin Ultra Soft". Just wondering if we should buy what we can around here to take with us or if we should be able to find ample availability of the good stuff down there. Harter House specifically if Dave or anybody that has visited their meat department recently could chime in. LEAVE MY MEAT ALONE!! Next it's gonna be Coors Light and Basil Hayden's and then the revolution will begin with purpose!π‘

In fairness, that's what happened with the order at the Olathe store where I ended up getting the battery. If I had been dealing with that guy and that store initially there never would have been an issue. But, then again, then it wouldn't have been "A Day in the Life of Vernon" and I wouldn't have had that story to tell! In fact, if I hadn't taken the time to compose the story to share here I might've decided to go outside and fallen down the stairs and broken my neck. See how that stuff works?π

Oh yeah, that part's looking great too. Down to 38 Friday night and high's in the low 60's thru Tuesday! At least it's supposed to rain and be windy...... And I ain't even started to do that weather voodoo that I do. π§ββοΈ
