Bill, how far up did you have to go to get cleaner water? I live near Hickory Creek and fished this weekend and found Nelsons to be lightly tinted, plenty fishable, but out in the main channel the water was really brown.
I always got a big laugh out of Virgil Ward and his sarcasm. He usually took a shot at his son Greg. Things like, "I'll try not to cast under you next time Greg", after Greg had cast over his line. Or after Greg would bounce a fish off 2 or 3 rails of their pontoon, " Nice release Greg"
Too dark to look now, but I wonder if the trash and logs will be as bad as they were in the spring? You could almost hop across the lake by Hickory Creek.
If I click on lake levels at the top of page, I get to a page of a generation chart from 2005. I appreciate Mr Phil for the site and am not complaining, just trying to point this out.
I was last checked in 1995. It was during the Danny Ford Big Bass AAO tourny. I was fishing with Ken Biley and Ron Woods, Both black men.
agfc guy went by us about a quarter mile, circled back, past at least 10 other boats on the way back to us,and checked to see we had fishing license.
We all did. Never saw him check another boat.
