I mean you can kind of add the rattle to anything if you really want.
If you throw it in the front of a gurgler and for the front lip back over and tie down you still face a couple problems.
1. The rattle will sit at or above water level.
2. it may work out for the better but the added weight in the front of that fly will pull the front down.
3. It will either stick out the sides of the front unless you tie with a real wide strip of foam, which is fine, except it will envelope every thing you tied on as the body on the shank.
You could tie it on length ways on the body and maybe get some sound out of it. Other than that I'll just keep my rattle use to big streamers and a few craw patterns in the body, if I use them at all.
