Your first striper is the same size as my PB striper Nice job, they are a blast to catch! Too bad Beaver is the closest lake to me with stripers in it at 3.5 hours away

I fished one a bit Friday at a local lake. Didn't catch anything with it, but neither did any other cranks I threw I think it will be a good bait, but it does seem to have a much tighter wiggle than the warts.

My buddy caught his PB at Beaver, don't remember the length but it weighed 4.51 pounds (he's 6' 4" and around 300, give or take a cheeseburger or two, so the fish may appear smaller than it actually was). Caught it in the PC area on an A rig in the same area we had just caught several stripers, including my PB.

I'm in the market for a new boat, preferably one that doesn't cost almost as much as my house did though.

Great video. Loved the Table Rock reference, it's always a thrill watching them follow the big baits down there and when you see that dark shadow that's obviously committed and trying to remind yourself that split second it happens not to pull the bait away from them. Makes the fact that the water around here is hard at that much more agonizing

We had a fall tournament at a little lake in southern Kansas were big bass of the tournament was caught on a Whopper Plopper. I have similar baits for muskie that I've caught bass on, guess I'll have to buy one of the R2S versions too

Just got it in the mail yesterday along with assorted other goodies. Bait looks great and it's about the perfect size for what I like to fish in a 'gill bait. Hoping to catch some big mommas on it this spring. Also ordered a Deps 175 Slide Swimmer this week. Really looking forward to getting to play with that thing too.

We have the same issue on another forum in the KC area. There's a good sized group of us that share tons of information on the local lakes, more than we probably should, but yet there's always several "guests" reading the page. I didn't use to bother me until I ran into someone fishing one of my favorite spots. Guy said he found it because he recognized the shoreline where I was and that he'd never thought to fish there before but was glad he "found it" . Now I'm much more careful with what I show in pictures, sometimes I even edit out the background if there's an obvious landmark in the background. Hot bites usually aren't reported except via text to the other guys that contribute. Hate being like that but I guess that's what it's coming to.

I caught quite a few trout the last couple years out of Lake Shawnee in Topeka (same lake Ned usually does his "bass fishing for trout" on). PB&J and pink were my 2 best colors and they do smack them awfully hard, sometimes about take the rod from you.

Knife comes with the holster and leg strap. It has some slight discoloration on one spot on the blade but still in very good shape. $50 obo paypal or MO.

I just ordered one of these yesterday, should be here next week. Going to be a couple weeks before I can get out to have a chance to fish it though.

I walk the banks of lots of lakes around here looking for baits each winter. I found over 100 cranks last year doing just that. Some are in brand new condition, some unusable. I went to a lake 10 minutes from my house 2 weeks ago that's about 180 acres. One lap around it and I had 18 cranks found, including a creek craw wiggle wart I did some bait searching last time I was at Table Rock in April, my find included, Megabass Vision 110 magnum in Pro Blue, Lucky Craft pointer 100 Table Rock Shad, Lucky Craft Pointer 100 DD American Shad, pre-rap wart in red craw, Strike King KVD spinnerbait, and a War Eagle spinnerbait in blue herring. I actually caught a lot of fish on the Megabass until the freaking bill fell off The Table Rock Shad pointer was a nice addition to my arsenal last spring that put a lot of fish in the boat for me at the local lakes. If you're up to doing a lot of walking, I'd highly suggest doing it.

Always great to see stuff like this. We all have tons of gear laying around that never gets used but we hold onto, just in case. I'm guilty of this as much as anyone so last year I gave away 40 some bags of plastics to a high school fishing team. This year I didn't have as much to give but still sending a young angler with no extra income a bunch of jigs, some spinnerbaits, and a few odds and ends items that he was in need of. I cleaned out some stuff that I can surely live without and he should be set on some stuff that he was in need of for the upcoming season, everyone's happy I just asked that he remember the time someone helped him out so when he's in position to do so, he can help someone out.

I just hope this bait is better than the Real California. Can't be much worse I guess and at that price I'm sure I'll try one. I would like to see them come out with a shad profiled one that was a little bigger than this gill.

I took a Dremel to it, filed them quite a bit. I went from about 2.5" side to side movement measuring from the outside edge of the tail to almost 4" when I got done grinding. Now I can make it turn almost 180* and glide a long ways side to side, really seemed to be driving them crazy. Glad it's an inexpensive bait, I couldn't imagine sitting down and grinding away at one of my more expensive baits

You ever try the bone colored S Waver? I really like it in clear water, they were crushing it last week. Nothing big but any fish on a swimmer is a good time. My buddy was fishing an Islide but he doesn't have much confidence in swimbaits and gave up on it really fast. So you do the mod on your S Wavers? I did on this one and it seems to have made a big difference.

Those look nice, maybe a bait I could throw in the nasty places I don't want to send my hardgill?? Good looking colors, if that nasty bluegill had a touch or chartreuse on the tail it would look a lot like a juvenile bluegill.

Yeah you'll be fine with 15lb for those smaller baits unless you're fishing around lots of timber. I mainly fish mine on 20lb but I'm fishing around a lot more cover than you are on most places on Table Rock. Plus the dang zebra mussels eat line so fast I like to have a little heavier line when I'm tossing $50+ baits around.

I've only ever seen one. I was C-rigging a 6" lizard, caught a 15" spot that spit out a still live salamander! Knocked him back in the water and away he went. I guess that fish really wanted a salamander for breakfast!

That area right around PC ramp/marina seems to hold lots of quality fish. I caught my biggest Beaver largemouth last time I was down there on an A rig.
