Did fish there twice in the past two months. Who really wants to see pics of 14-18" brown trout? Caught a few, but low and slow, nothing worth a picture.

Can't say I've ever saved a penny by assembling my own, but you get what you want. Figure at least $75 plus a blank for a basic casting or spinning rod. Fancy wood reels seats, fittings, primo cork, and top of the line guides can boost that allot.

Looks like you had fun and that is all that matters...Have an urban trout lake about a mile from the house, and rarely fish it...fun to stop by and watch other folks fish though.

Sorry for your inconvenience. Better lock up your credit, file a police report, get an ID theft pin from the IRS. Fullz-Slang for full identity info-Name,addy,ssn, mother maiden name,etc. only sell for a dollar or two each amongst the criminals on the dark web. Once they have it, it gets sold again, and again, and again.

Not my fault, I wasn't floating on Friday AM. Some folks pulled their campers in to Montauk about 8:30am on Friday and set up two sites away. Had fished from 5:30-8ish and was cooking breakfast while they set up. One truck and canoe looked familiar so I wandered by. Turned out to be a buddy of mine. Used to tent camp but went camper this year. Said that they wanted to float, and I offered to help with their shuttle. Gave the lads a 10 minute head start then met them driving up the hill after they were told no go at Baptist.

They are still doing site work, nothing but a big field of freshly tilled soil in front of the sewer pond.

a Ranger would not let some friends put in at Baptist due to active construction on Friday. Plan to use Tan Vat if the are running equipment around. Water is dead low and fishing is tough.

Photoperiod does make a difference sometimes. Smallies seem to like afternoons this time of year. Brown trout eat around first light most consistently.

Can nail low and slow, but have no time these days. Mark makes these for the guys who developed them, just down the road from his welding shop. They cook really well....different than low & slow but good cookers. Doubt if I'll wear out or get rid of my stick burner, but getting one. We entertain allot when our pool is open. Sick of taking a day off to cook when we have 50 over.

Have had bullets in the past, good results but a PIA to tend. Plan to go drum for one reason. Butts & Brisket in 4 hrs instead of 10 or more. Ribs in 2 hrs.

Was wrong it's Gateway Drum Smokers. Might be more work than a stick burner offset. Do love my stick burner. Just add an 18" log or two when needed.

Have a big offset stick burner, but next one will be a St. Louis drum smoker. The cook quick and win allot of completions. My friend Mark makes them in Washington MO.

Grilling tonight too. Love my butcher and the char crust. These are just coming up to temp. Grilling in 20 or so.

Ran into an aquantance who has an R&D micro- distillery permit last night. He can't sell yet but soon. Makes some great stuff...bourbon, vodka, rum. Can't wait till He can sell.
