  1. Great for u guys! Any pattern? Not asking where. Already have my float lined up for tomorrow.
  2. Btw, they caught the vandal who defaced one of the bluffs on the Jacks. 300 fine and $4,000 in clean up costs. Figure that's as good as we could get. Folks don't go to jail for most stuff.
  3. Plenty of graffiti on the highway bluffs on 72 headed west of Fredericktown today. None worthy of petroglyph status our a repaint like the Piassa Bird. Tiss human nature to make a mark.
  4. Will give them a go this weekend Mitch. You know where. C' mon down with the fam. Thinking family float Sunday & Monday. Fish float early Saturday before the river lice get on the water.
  5. Have a dozen of your craws Mitch just have not fished them much, Love the jig heads though. Can fish one for months w/o losing it.
  6. Glad you had a great time! Thanks for the report.
  7. The money you make is never the measurement of what you have achieved and done for others. Family, friends, and food on the table. Don't need anything else.
  8. A reel that binds is usesless, not great. Overpriced disposable junk unfortunately.

    What's Cooking?

Got a decent sized offset for Father's Day 6-7 years ago. Would not go back to a bullet smoker because there is no need to disassemble it. Just add another log now and then.
  10. Looks like it's way up. But it could be nice in a couple days. Red Bluff is a nice little CG but the fishing is poor. Boiling Springs between Licking & Houston is a nice CG and very reasonable. Would stay their with my family again. Plenty of Forest Service land for access and primitive camping around there too.
  11. Yes. Call a cab. Easy in Branson. Buy a cable and a lock if your worried about leaving your boat unattended. Take your valuables in the cab with you.

    What's Cooking?

Love the view! Cleaned out the freezer on Thursday. Tossed a couple pork butts in the smoker 15 minutes ago. Turkey is seasoned, will go in when I wake up. Should have some good eats tomorrow!
  13. I'm harder on stuff than most but I maintain and clean. Would not take a High end Shimano spinner as a gift though. Would end up garage saled for a $10 spot like the last 3 Stradics. Not reliable at all IMO. They really suck and bind bad after a year or so, horribly when it's below freezing in the winter time. Reels with looser tolerances do just fine. Might have to try that quantum you like.
  14. Bring a friend and two vehicles. Run your own Shuttle.
  15. Think the answer is none. They all suck, it's just a matter of anticipating the line twist our inevitable mechanical failure. The reels built to tight specs usually fail first. Those built like old farm tractors last. Just a thing to wind string! Would not waste my change looking for the perfect one. Not gonna last
  16. Pm Mitch about that. He has that wired plus his new hand pour craws are Sweet! Has the golden crayfish pattern nailed. Will see what he comes up with for the Spot Handed Craw!
  17. Glad you are busy! Would like a standup head and football with same guard, tad bigger hook on those1/0 or 2/0. Mitch style would be great but talk to him about that. Thanks a bunch!

Nice contrast between fish up North than those here. Looks like y'all are catching them and having fun!
  19. Ordered a bunch. Could not be happier with his little varmint heads. Good pours, great weed guards, great hooks! Should be great for for hair jigs too. Thinking Ron Krueger style flair hairs.
  20. Think you will do fine OYO after a day with a guide. Remember the pattern and start there. Fish may move but you have a clue about places to start. Very jealous! Some great fishing in Door.
  21. Artful cussing is a good thing sometimes but I would never type that stuff on a public forum. Think your rules are fine.
  22. Pflueger our Abu for me. Lews has been good but only 3 trips with it so far. Do not buy Shimano or Diawa if you float fish. They don't hold up to the mud & grit that is always present when you float fish. Might be fine on the deck of a bass boat but they don't work in a canoe our kayak.
  23. Known Ness for years. He is the front runner in my book. "Clean up the mess with Ness".
  24. Chief you would be my first contact for that area. Have some time off in the near future. Pm sent.
