I may not have had the battery fully charged before taking it out. I only had it on the battery tender for 12 hours before we left and don’t charge it at all except for the motor charging it during our 10-15min runs on the lake. I let it sit on the tender from the time we got back yesterday until now, tender says fully charged, and my graph is saying 12.8v now.
-
By staged I mean the fish were holding on the rock or structure that was shown on the bottom. I just want to know are all those lines fish, or something else.
-
Yeah, the 2nd picture showing 12.4v is while idling out of the cove I was in. When I'm running full out the gauge on my dash is reading between 13-14 volts, but the finder at my console never gets over 13. It's a 2009 60hp Merc 4 stroke. How long do stators last typically? Looks like there are special tools needed to take the flywheel off to get to it. I do only charge it when I'm away from the water with a battery tender charger and not a full charger. During my time at TR lake I was only making a couple mile runs at a time that took only 10min or so to get to where I was fishing if that matters any.

It's a brand new battery.

Is this shad? Saw several of these on the graph while fishing the other night. No clue what they are other than it would be a bunch of shad.

Oh I agree. I was just stating these people that want these statues and pictures removed have to look at the whole picture if they are going to what they are doing. They can’t just pick a chose who were the bar people and who were good. If they don’t, their attempts at making a point will mean nothing.

Bass haven’t been biting so I took my daughters fishing for bluegill and pumpkin seeds down by the dock shore. They were done fishing so I took the float off and used up the last worm on my youngest’s princess pole on the bottom off the dock. Caught this. Probably the first flathead I’ve ever caught.

Of the stretches I've floated on the Meramec, I had my best day on that stretch. It's a long day at around 9 miles if you launch at the park boat ramp. I can't remember the time of year I floated it but didn't get many jet boats until we got closer to the caverns.

Where does it stop though? Our quarters and $1 bill have George Washington on them, our nickels and $2 bill have Thomas Jefferson, our $20 has Andrew Jackson, and our $100 bill has Ben Franklin. Yep, all slave owners. So are we looking at having them all refaced too? Or is it because they were all significant people in our history they should all stay? If they are going to make this movement, it should be all or none, can't have some.

She doesn't mind touching them, she just didn't want to lip it because of it's "teeth". She's seen what they do to my thumbs when I go to grandma and grandpa's farm pond.

Got out late this morning and found some around islands. 2 keeper smallies, one was almost 3lbs, and my Wife caught a few little smallmouth. Even my daughter caught her first brown fish ever! All caught on GP Neds.

And then proceeded to get skunked today.

So is it a byproduct of these kinds of motors having to run WOT more than a car motor that causes boat 4 strokes to die quickly? Or is they sit for a while longer than cars typically and since they are 4 strokes with valves open they allow moisture into the cylinders which rusts them? Just confused on why you can buy a car with a 4 stroke and have it run many thousand miles and last but a boat motor ran only a fraction of the time doesn’t? Are they just poorly built? Or do people just not take care of them like they should? I’d like to think I take pretty good care of the 2009 60hp Merc I have and it seems like it’s still running well after 11 years (4 of which I’ve opened it)

Staying in the Indian Point area and got in this afternoon, got some Danna’s bbq for dinner and headed out for a few hours before it got dark tonight. Had lots of bites and caught these two and lost a few more when they got off the hook. Dragging tubes in about 15-20’ of water.

All of that plus more unstable river dynamics due to runoff and urban growth. Plus what Mitch said.

There's an entire trail at Castlewood SP called the Stinging Nettle trail and the trail has been around for a while so... My biggest smallie came from the area you were fishing. Stories have been told that the area just north of 44 near the mini train station at Glencoe used to be one of the best places for big smallies on the Meramec, but not so much anymore.

Chumming is legal everywhere in Missouri for any species except in the trout parks.

2020 Ozark Anglers BASS Fantasy Fishing League
moguy1973 replied to abkeenan's topic in Table Rock Lake
Yep, I told everyone to set their teams and then I thought it started tomorrow as well and went to do it tonight and it was locked and couldn't set my team. Oh well, that sucks. I guess they were really itching to get everything started back up so they started a day early on a Wednesday. -

Doesn't sound like good news for our visit to TR next week. Was at 928ish when we were there in 2017 and the ramp at the resort we are staying at was underwater by a lot and it looks like it's going to be even higher this time.

Pick your teams for next week!!! -
Like Smalliebigs said, CFM is only relative to the size of the river it's taken at. 790CFM on the Meramec at Steelville is going to be different than 790CFM at Eureka. I also think that, while it's the same CFM reading, that a river going down is going to be a lot better looking than one that is on it's way up, mainly due to it having time to settle the mud that's washed into the river from rain. That said, that picture of the Meramec looks perfect for floating right now. Good section too, especially from Scott's Ford down to Indian Springs.

We decided to go back to Dooley's. My wife was fine with the accommodations.

My 4 1/2lb smallie in my avatar went 21.5".
