  1. Not paying attention in the fog caused it actually. How is it could possibly be blamed on a shallow water anchor is beyond me.
  2. Fog caused this.
  3. If you are in the Joplin area do not take it to the guy that runs the flip shop. He can cover them but that's about as far as it goes.
  4. Pennies to some of our board members.
  5. Sounds like a good guide boat. Would make a neat second boat. Definitely not one for Grand lake the majority of the time. http://www.scout.com/outdoors/wired2fish/story/1576440-ranger-unveils-new-z522d-bass-boat
  6. Well you're a glass half full kinda guy aren't you?
  7. I was thinking it was further down lake where the kill was taking place, maybe between big m and shell knob? Am I right about that? If beaver will keep water coming in you'd think the lake would be good up to the owl creek or rock creek area. That's just guessing though. If beaver doesn't let water in then I could see it getting bad up river in a hurry. When I become president we are getting rid of the stripers and tearing down beaver dam. The best thing for fish care is good batteries and pumps. Run them suckers constantly. I like the idea of ice but I don't trust what they put in it some I'm iffy on using it. If I knew it was pure clean water I'd be good. I do use frozen water bottles and ice packs to chill the water sometimes and throwing a life jacket over the live well lids never hurts.
  8. Yea that sunken boat thing is weird. I saw that last week or over the weekend. Sounds like insurance fraud or something. Definitely strange no matter what. Hard to say without the details.
  9. You should camouflage the background better. Now I know exactly where you was at.
  10. You got my attention with the frog! Looooooove throwing a frog! Good job man!
  11. This is the part that I'm a little confused on. Haven't they been dropping the lake fairly steadily? I haven't paid attention to beaver.
  12. it may one day be an issue but I'd be inclined to think it would be on the more populated end of the lake rather than it happening in literally the two most unpopulated places. Also you'd think James River would have this trouble if sewer was an issue. I'm gonna stick with what the biologist say it is considering it's happening every high water year. But one day it may well be an issue. Or it may help the lake. Hard to say.
  13. Goodness this is a steal!
  14. And by not flood everything you mean let there be at least a month of good willow bite in April and May.
  15. There have definitely been some positive reports posted recently despite the unfortunate fish kill. Babler has posted some good days. Good luck to you!
  16. The fish are basically getting trapped and can't find adequate oxygen in time the way I understand it. The topic on here earlier suggested there could be pockets of oxygen or lack of it.
  17. It's not sewers....
  18. Wow that made it way worse. I was wondering what was going on. Now I know. Everything is all messed up now.
  19. Heck yea man! That was my first fish and my kids first also. Those gills have got more grins than any other species I bet.
  20. Aha! The star! I couldn't imagine why they'd get away from the new content thing. Ok. That's better. See the thing is I have a phobia of stars. I got hit with one when I was a kid. So that answers a LOT I'm sure.
  21. That's the best name for a tournament ever!
  22. It's not so much the look it's the menus and getting to where I want that's the pain. The look is fine. Before it was hit the square, then new content and away I'd go. Also it would take me to the first new post of a topic before. Maybe I can change some of this but I haven't found how yet.
  23. Maybe we should put all those black balls in the lake like California is doing.
