  1. In MO it's pay no matter if the thing is $200 and has been sold 1000 times. I hate that.
  2. Absolutely! Though I'll miss the line bouncing strikes after not getting a bite for two hours. It's exciting, then you realize its a drum. I actually deduct a fish for every drum I catch.
  3. Doesn't seem odd to me. A length limit lets them get caught and enjoyed and after that you get to eat them. Win win imo.
  4. Good man.
  5. You put that eye back right? Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha just kidding
  6. Can we agree to do this at grand?
  7. About 10ish years ago I was in a club that had a tournament on lower Taney. I'd love to go back there sometime.
  8. If my old vmax keeps hanging on I'll sure be glad about it! I would rather it be a merc efi though. My triton had a 225 efi and I just loved that thing. From the awesome idle, the complaining of people about the smoke at take off, to the top end. Now when it decided to window the lower unit during a superbass on table rock I was less thrilled. Boats, outboards, tow vehicles etc have got out of hand. I say that because I can't afford them. I guess that's not fair to the ones that can. I do believe that boats just as good could be made at a more affordable price but then they'd lose profit buy selling the more premium models. I imagine I'll just end up re powering 10+ year old hulls from now on.
  9. Here some example of my card just like the one here for sale.
  10. I believe the fact they have color options will make them popular. The thing I wonder beyond the hype of their numbers is what is the weight. Honestly I think someone needs to make a budget engine. Bring back the best sounding outboard made please, the mercury 225 efi! Slap in on a new yet old design proven hull and sell a boat just about worth the money!!!
  11. That's good news. It sounds like he's fighting really well.
  12. That's definitely intentionally done. I can only assume that someone is tired of catching them while chasing another species.
  13. And how many have you guys caught like this!?!
  14. Like!
  15. That is very strange. If you could get a pic that would be cool. I've never seen the "big boys" on tv hack their fish up.

Man that's a bummer! Prayers here too.
  17. That's cool. I love projects and progress pics.
  18. Awesome looking rig! I've always had a soft spot for Champs. They're just great boats and look great. Please keep us posted on the progress!
  19. *FIXT* Personally in that range I'd order a new 899 from universalmania.com using the bbc discount, buy a used 898, or buy a used 998. New 998's can be had around $1200.
  20. Good deal. You won't regret it. I've never heard someone say "darn these big screens! I wish I had a smaller one!" Take a serious look at map cards and how good they cover the lakes you fish. Personally I like lakemaster. I'm not sure if they're lowrance compatible though. It's just something to keep in mind.
  21. Screen size is crucial for si units. If you can go up to an 898, 899, or ,998 etc I highly recommend it. Their aren't many tricks to learn. A few basic settings will go a long ways. I and I'm sure other would be glad to help, though I'm far from a guru. bassboatcentral.com is an awesome resource for humminbird info. Also their are a couple places to order from that will save you a lot over local retail prices. There's also buying used as an option.
  22. Thanks for the answer. I figured that they surely did. Humminbird links via ethernet cable. The older models need interlink.
  23. Very neat report. I'd want a portable graph to vertical fish with. That would be fun.
