  1. Quill... the hatchery shore is a fun place to shoot them or the Island in front of Rocky Branch.
  2. Yup its called the drain plug
  3. Certainly could and it would probably work well.
  4. Actually for the storage trays I sealed mine and drilled a hole in the bottom! They are my ice chest and work great for it.
  5. I don't mind fishy, but cant stand the pondscum taste so soaking is mandatory unless they were in clean water or cold water. You don't eat fish for the hamburger flavor ( well unless you are making hamburgers with them)
  6. Don't feel bad Marty, we saw 3 dove before LST yesterday and only 1 goose, way to many boats for a good hunt. Going back out in a few to try it again. Did see tons of teal and reports from the fields this morning was even more teal showed up today both in NWA and SWM promising news for next weekends teal opener. Couple farm ponds down here guys said they were thick as the ticks in the woods
  7. Agreed, ATM will be the true test of the tape, we beat them people will take notice, even if we just stay in the game it will be a victory IMO. I do not like next years schedule one bit, trying to force a Rivalry through the media is stupid ARKANSAS v LSU is the Rivalry not Ar v Mizz that is boneheaded IMO.
  8. If you are getting mudcats the only way to go is soak them 24 hours in something. I like to use Italian dressing, salt , buttermilk or pomegranate juice.
  9. way to go Ducky, we managed 1 goose yesterday, skiers and tubers were out and chasing geese before sunrise. Did see several hundred teal but they were having the same problem finding a place to sit. I wish they would have opened middle of the week <sigh>
  10. I was impressed with what I saw a true four quarters where the Hogs did not self implode in the 4th. Great rushing with a very balanced Offense. I think we finally have a coach and the team has heart. It did the School, Team and Fans a lot of good. I think Coach B took a demoralized group of players and made a team out of them. Now we will see whats possible, Bama and LSU looked rusty and confused a more than a couple times ( early yes ) but Arkansas except for the first quarter defense looked sharp and crisp. Johnny Football did his magic but also looks like he has matured and settled down to a thinking QB, Very dangerous last year more so this year and his back-up handles pressure ATM is certainly a force. Its going to be an interesting year.
  11. It is to me the purest form of fishing there is! Flyfishing is not about being efficient nor is it about using the most technological gear. It is about soul fishing, there is something about it that puts heart and soul peace and tranquility in to fishing no other form of fishing can do. From tying your own flies to becoming so in tune with the water even the slightest ripple will catch your attention. It is the best medicine for the heart and soul of the angler. If you have to have it be efficient then I suppose the lessons it teaches you and the uplifting of your soul is where it is.
  12. Um ill take one lol.
  13. Never had the issue myself and many times had double limits and checked, sounds like maybe someone pissed off the officers and they let them have it. For waterfowl you MUST have them separate and if stored together clearly marked, for that colored zipties make it easy to do different color for each person.
  14. Smaller the venom sack the more dangerous a scorpion is the wives tail but also a great amount of truth to it Quill. Death Stalker being the most deadly. There are some pretty interesting looking scorpion with no doubt some without stingers even that you look at and understand where Hollywood gets the idea for some of the monster creatures. Look up (Wind Scorpion)
  15. The new rule from my understanding is not just an (ingame) but a reviewable by NCAA officials post game. Sounds like they are very serious about stopping it, and its way past time they do. I typically do not support the NCAA rules or I should say how they interpret rules or enforce at their will what they want but this one I do. Will it make a difference? If its enforced yes that is what im waiting to see. We have a murderous schedule after the first four possibly one of the toughest in the SEC and im glad for it. I want to see what Coach B and his dream team of assistants are made of. If he pulls off a 6-6 season I will be very happy he pulls an 8-4 I will believe then we have a real coach! He does anything below an 5-7 and Jeff long needs to go!
  16. The depth in the SEC is ungodly ( as Notre Dame ) found out. And I agree its time to give up WMS I wont go to a game there the element after the game is getting dangerous. I am watching tex tech v smu right now and have concerns for many teams tomorrow. The heat can cause some serious injuries, looks like lots of cramping in the game im watching now. Granted its boring but still a game.

  18. Gee I wonder what creek he could ever be talking about. Not like if you type the trout's name and Missouri in ANY search engine it wont pop it right up. His write up was ok but I prefer Tims reports
  19. Beaver has a few doves if you know where to look.
  20. PM coming your way.
  21. I was talking to an old friend and we got on the subject of Monster Battles. Only one fish came to both our minds. The might Jack Crevalle! We have both caught many tarpon and Snook permit and bones even had a 23 day son sailfish. But when it comes to massive pure brute force and power nothing beats a 40lb jack hel bent to leave the Florida coast for the Bahamas. If you guys ever get a chance to go for the monster jacks do it. So whats your favorite powerhouse fish?
  22. Daredevil spoon, Black and silver Rapala and Roostertail.
  23. I feel your pain.
  24. I worked a 15 hour day yesterday but was jonesing so bad for college ball I stayed up to watch them. Love my college ball
