  1. Gotta keep momma happy lol.
  2. I only get to Stockton a couple times a year at most but I would go with Bobby Garlands for Crappie and for catfish just use shad.
  3. I feel your pain Jeb, its why I pulled off the crappie yesterday, you would think other anglers would have respect for each other but add a tournament to the mix and they become the rudest creatures around.
  4. Zoom in to the lake on here http://www.navionics.com/en/webapp
  5. You always blame me... its not my fault lol. and I saw you catch a fish so I you cant say it this time lol
  6. LOL J-doc probably wants to kill me for the pictures I was posting this morning.
  7. Very nice, how big was the walter?
  8. Ya I did no hooks in it only problem I see with it is closing you better be careful where the webbing of your hand is. that dam thing will bite you
  9. Bring her over to my house, I will open the garage where there is the boat and 4 shelves full of tackle and rods in the rafters along with about 160 dozen goose decoys and another 20 dozen duck decoys. Then we will take her in the Spouse Cave ( cannot be called man cave ) as the wife has her hunting gear in it as well plus more fishing gear and the cupboard she swears my shells reproduce in. I AM PERFECTLY SANE. He with the most toys wins! My grandpa told me so and he would never have lied to me.
  10. Rocky Branch Area 5:30am to 2:30pm water temp 73 to 76 clarity 5ft East wind Cloudy Started out for crappie with Bobby Garland ( Shad Swim-r ) in Pearl White and Monkey Milk with 1/8oz jig heads. Crappie were feeding on the bottom and you had to swim it very slow on the bottom tight lining it but they were very cooperative 18 total fish ( still some with eggs ) from 13'' to 16'' Traffic got a little annoying with people flying in and out on plane so I went to look for walleye to let things settle down ( my guess was a bass tourney ). I hit a pocket that can produce walleye but I did not expect what happened. I was culling walleye within an hour with several double hook-ups. They were hitting just about everything Keitech swing impacts, XPS Jigging Spoon, Flicker shad #'s 5 6 7. Rapala jigging rap and even one on a Pop-r on surface, I think I found my new favorite top water fish it was a very violent explosion. Fish were from 17'' to 27'' feeding on shad ALL 4 that got brought home we full of gizzard shad in 3 to 5'' size.
  11. Awe yes I know exactly where you are talking:) I dove the dock last year and made out like a bandit on recovered gear, may need to go visit it again.
  12. Nice.... Now were you anywhere near a certain spot I told you about last year?
  13. Phil; for some reason the smallest fish in the lake just has to eat a flicker shad and that makes the bigger fish jealous so then they have to try it and before long everyone is trying it...
  14. Thanks James. I do good just to type on this phone
  15. Above houseman you must have ark lic
  16. Not above houseman
  17. And the border pass for below Houseman and if you go past Houseman toward the dam you must have a Arkansas fishing license.
  18. forgot about Vicks, it has eucalyptus in it which flea's and ticks HATE.
  19. Hmmmm that looks like a flicker shad
  20. Get "Nix" its the spray you use if you have lice on your bedding. Spray it on your shoes and pant legs and hat it will help keep the ticks off.
  21. I target them, but when crappie or walleye are biting they are my focus and stripers take a back seat until July. Doc and I actually looked for them Monday half heartedly though as crappie kept calling us back. Look from Rocky Branch to point 3 they are scattered in that entire area, I do know guys are catching big hybrids using small bluegill and stripers will take them as well.
  22. My largest bass from any of the Ozarks came at the 62 bridge 3 years ago. 7.38lb caught on an AC PLUG while I was after the stripers. The ride up is a stay in channel run for certain but easily done even in my battleship. Walleye can be found up there as well but its primarily trout water.
  23. The Red is the "Beaver Tailwater | White River from 100 yards below Beaver Dam to boundary signs at Houseman Access." area. Yellow is the Beaver Tailwater Special Regulation Area Pay attention to the signs. This time of year there are a few Walleye in the river but not many, could be a few whites closer to Holiday Island but I haven't been in a while. Bass would be mostly from 62 bridge down river toward the rock.
  24. Quill, there was a report on the news not long ago that NWA had surpassed 500,000 people. As population increases so does pressure on the resource. I see many new boats on Beaver each weekend, use to be I could pick out the same people and pretty much new where they were going to go and for what. It is a double edge sword... More pressure can mean tougher to catch but also means more voices to support the resource. The biggest boost IMO is Yaks its allowing people who cant afford a boat payment or want one and its upkeep to get on the water, I think its pretty cool seeing them on the water especially with those massive wakes they throw and blasting music pulling 6 kids in tubes without life vest
  25. Pooky is getting cocky. Lol
