Where To Find Crappie In The Indian Point Area?
Feathers and Fins replied to Patrick M's topic in Table Rock Lake
The crappie are doing and have been exactly what Champ has stated, I have had great success all summer catching them but it is with specialized methods ( deep trolling ) and that is covering many miles a day. The best formula has been #5, 6, 7 Flickershad trolled at 22 to 35 fow targeting open water bait schools. Average is 1 crappie for every half mile trolled and 1 mile for each keeper sized crappie. -
Lots of interesting things and some questions answered yesterday, Mizz looked good but Franklin is liable to get taken out his running skills are good but he runs high and seems to be vulnerable on his right side and an SEC Defense will hurt him, heck any really good defender could. The screens were annoying and most the SEC defenses will see this and pick-6's are going to be in the future for them as they are telegraphing them. Arkansas looked good out of the blocks but then had some sputters before getting their heads out of whatever butt they went in, They should be doing better against Samford than they did. I think the heads got kicked by Coach B and put back in the game I liked that. LSU, I was wondering if they could muster a decent passing game ( QUESTION ANSWERED ) Man I know that was no SEC opponent but good lord Beckham needs to be reviewed by the NCAA to see if wearing catchers gloves are LEGAL. He was fun to watch last night and the Field Goal run back was exciting a play and run as I have seen in a long time. LSU is going to be very dangerous. ATM, Ok its the Johnny football show, but it was Sam Houston 400 yards passing? ya ya ya but lets see him go up against SEC teams that were shocked by him last year and all of them are gunning for him this year. Bama coming up Johnny boy and its time to show your stuff against a team that can hurt you. Georgia, South C. Very good game what SEC football is about I did think SC should have done better but Georgia wanted it more and that is what it comes to in SEC match-ups many times ( who wants it most ) Notre Dame, Had fun harassing a die-hard fan friend of mine, I said it last year they were not that good and still are not

Spavinaw Creek Access Areas Around Benton Cunty
Feathers and Fins replied to jdelow77's topic in Other Ozark Waters
Ok now I have to really wonder what you are talking about. 15 Miles from the OK line down is NOT AGFC jurisdiction not certain why you bring that up. The area in question in the reports appears to be HWY102 AR to HWY43 AR. But according to the papers you posted a permit was going to be issued if I read it correctly back then. Was said permit issued? If so then the next question is if said permit was issued is there a statute of limitation for reversal of the permit and if so what is that time limit? -

Strange Things We See On The Water
Feathers and Fins replied to Big Brown Trout's topic in Trout Talk
I could see that on shallow rivers/creeks but on a big lake i just scratched my head, Trailer was interesting and looks to be set-up for rear take up with a Engine rack at the nose. They had a Long wench cable and walked it down to the boat then spooled out backed the trailer in and pushed the button and the boat went right up very impressive set-up. I wish I would have gotten pictures of it and really wish i had seen them launch. -
Fish "bite Offs" And Line Breaks At Hookset
Feathers and Fins replied to rps's topic in General Angling Discussion
This actually is a discussion on line though, I have used Seaguar for many years and never had one issue with it. Line issues could be from numerous causes I bet we could go on for years on them. But for the primary ones I would go with ( guide frays) ( Roller on real fray points) ( out in the sun and damaged from that ) ( structure rub ) (improper spooling ) and the big one Angler Neglect in checking it. Still as Walleye being the discussion point Im going with Gill Blade cut-offs or Angler Neglect as to why. -

Fish "bite Offs" And Line Breaks At Hookset
Feathers and Fins replied to rps's topic in General Angling Discussion
BF, that is a BINGO and also how a fish with no teeth ( snook ) get off when everything else is perfect. I have had snook cut 50lb shock leaders like it was a hot knife to butter. Walleye have that same little gill blade, good reminder and point. -
Fish "bite Offs" And Line Breaks At Hookset
Feathers and Fins replied to rps's topic in General Angling Discussion
Break offs can almost 90% or better be attributed to IMO the angler not cutting off at minimum 3 feet of line up from the hook after catching a fish or often when working structure and cover. It is the Angler not paying attention to his lines condition or drag way to tight or the combination of both that leads to it. I can not tell you the last time I used anything above 15lb line for anything including the Ocean Fish. A leader may be required for certain species but the main line is still light. Walleye do not have the teeth to break off and or cut off quality maintained line imo. -
Sophisticated Cheating On The Bass Pro Tour
Feathers and Fins replied to Mitch f's topic in General Angling Discussion
I don't know how many times I have given exact reports only to have people say they couldn't catch them, Heck had guys follow me out and still not catch many and they watched me pull them in. The "Elite" anglers should be able to find and catch fish should be the logic but as Wrench points out , they are not Logical. I have been lucky enough to fish with some very "Elite" anglers but in a tournament were worse than Bubba on a Friday night after a 12 pack. Before they could load the boat but pressure and time constraints screwed them up. The edge they had before was gone and its funny because most the time the edge was simple " doing it for fun" You get a guy that does it for fun all his body and mind are tuned in and he is a giant Net scooping up fish. Add tournament pressure and he becomes a hook with no bait. -

No clue but they come in Quart and Gallon ziplock bags and so happy to get in them they leave their shells -
Hkn, Just come over to beaver as soon as you see it hit 1117ish. Park in the 12 Bridge parking lot. Look at the closest island to you and wait you will see several boats find out the ACE was not just putting those buoys there for looks. Its almost a spectator event on Beaver.

Ya me too what you talking about here Mitch? -
I agree Wayne, im trying to see it from the defense standpoint and some of even looking at it from thier point has me shaking my head but im trying to see it. To me on my personal level ( He knows full well people stop there no doubt, I also beleive he had enough and was going down to start scaring people off maybe even to get a reputation so people know to stay off his land. He did not need even though legal to take a gun and certainly did not need to fire it at anyone. Warning shots ??? wth is that If you carry and are forced to pull it you best be shooting to kill ) The only and I mean only exception would be IF the party was throwing rocks at him he then had a justification to fire ( in his mind ) and it is the mindset that determines that.
-
Here are two questions I beleive will be the center of it all. 1. Were they on his Property? The courts will have to have the legal deffinition of the property which is what interest I think most here for the water rights aspect. IF they were as defined by law on his property then. 2. Did they have the rocks in hand and throwing them as Crocker contends? If so ( and that will be for the jury to decide ) then he would have justification under the law for self defense, there is no mandate to retreat that I saw in it. Should he have withdrawn is moot as there is no mandate to retreat unless i missed it.

Incorrect BF, They also have the ability to enforce federal laws, many people think they don't and have found out otherwise. I have seen more than one state officer write a federal citation. Try hunting over a baited field or using toxic shot and see what happens it will depend on the prosecuting attorney as to referral to Fed but they can and do write for federal violations. And if the state Honors Federal Boating laws and Missouri does you can bet the officer can issue it, it will come down to if he/she chooses to though.

Harris its a long drawn out read and leaves the door open to "opinion" I have read it many times and scratch my head on some of it. Most likely the attorney is using [563.036. 1. #(3) as justification as the ( rocks ) were in their hand. That is the section that covers Property most closely to what it appears they are trying to use. (3) Just a guess on my part but what I thought when I read the defense statements. As to what he said to the police that is a nonissue for me as under safe conditions in retrospect people have time to think and give an answer, in the heat of the moment when a person is in fear they do not have to react and do it fast. That question has been blown apart in many cases ( that of what could you have done or do you think you could have done different ) any good lawyer will take it apart.

Oh really???? Um Opener of Middle zone just got interesting..

LMAO Smallie I could actually hear you saying that too.

GPS location please, and are those Geese on the pond ?
-
Very nice now all you need is a pond and geese.
-
Exactly to prove and use Castle they first have to prove property rights.
-
Wrench I think it is unavoidable at this point. If the defense is going to use the property rights clause then someone will have to make an official ruling on what that right is if not it opens one appeal after another for Crocker till it is settled. If the court rules to centerline of the river it is a major blow to water users. If it is High water to High water then it would be a blow to property owners that I think would try and somehow get compensation from the state for it taking over their property. It should be interesting and I think the defense is by inadvertent action is going to force this issue to be settled once and for all.

Dennis your cheating PICK ONE not all of dinner lol -
Or it was dark and he needed to maintain safety so he was staying within sight of shore. Yes I have heard that excuse more than one time. Normally used when I have to tow someone in with a destroyed prop when the lakes low. And surprisingly most novice boaters have no dam clue how to read a GPS let alone the map.
