We found some gills, Sorry I don't have any pictures They were around 20 feet deep on ledges. You could catch them at all depths but the bigger ones were deeper. We put in at Aunts Creek and caught 23 of them and they were around hands size We caught most of them early 7:00 or so We probably caught well over 200 of them with 5 of us fishing and got most of them on worms ( red wigglers ) but most of the bigger ones came on Orange with a black stripe Beetle Spin All the bigger ones came on transition bank near deep water

Headed down Sunday morning for our Annual fishathon. We usually get out our spinning reels with 4 lb line and go after them. It's definitely a change up from Bass fishing and those fish put up a good fight for there size Just curious if anybody else has been after them tasty but mighty fish.

I went to the Floro that they make. It has been very strong and durable

I caught a big female 6.47lbs in the gills last year early in the morning on a WW around 7.30 and she was bleeding pretty bad. So I did the Mt Dew thing and she made it all day until weighin. I watch her swim away and I've been a believer ever since. I to have her about the Rejuvenate but have never tried it
