Yes, this is the hwy 7 bridge area. They started at 5pm and continued until 8.30pm when we left to watch fireworks.

Go to mile long Bridge area. They were surfacing for over 2 hours Friday night as far as you could see. Thousands of fish. Couldn't miss it.
  3. Selling the terrova that came on my 2021 targa V19. Just received the boat Thursday and used it this weekend. It is basically brand new and still on the boat. $2200
  4. This is also brand new. Came with the boat and has never even been turned on. $450
  5. Go the weir and you will catch all the white bass you want.
  6. In my experience, fishing is better when water is rising. Fish shallow in and around all the new flooded bushes and structure.
  7. Took the family down Branson to eat and decided to throw in the fly rod. We had a great time below the dam. Caught a dozen in 45 mins and left to eat dinner. My wife enjoyed taking pics of the twins fishing. One enjoyed catching trout with me, the other was obsessed with rescuing stranded sculpins from the water dropping and i was most excited about one catch in particular. Might even hang it in the wall, lol. I caught a famous Doty trout.
  8. I would plan on there being several lining the banks at sunset. It thins out as it gets later in the evening
  9. I have been helping Nathan age and track their growth rates. A few of those 1998 otoliths came from me. What is even more impressive than those fish living 20+ years is the average growth rate of the ones they are stocking now is 3-4 lbs a year! The 2013 fish are averaging 26-29 lbs right now. Would like to add that this very rough data of what i am seeing in my catches. MDC should release their findings after their study is complete and it will be a lot more accurate.
  10. Yeah, that road launch is out of play for me at this level. Figured the levels should be getting pretty close for shadow rock. When i was launching of the road up in Swan creek, the level was 688ish and my graph showed 8 ft deep as i idled over the road at the concrete bridge in Swan creek.
  11. Is shadow rock ramp open?

    Gone?

What Facebook page does everyone use for Bull Shoals?

    Shad

Anyone know if there are any licensed bait dealers selling shad in the hot springs area?

    Shad

So what are the guides doing at ouachita? There is no shad in that lake. They used to go to Oklahoma or the Arkansas river to get bait?
  15. That's awesome footage! They really are beautiful fish.
  16. Well, I accepted the challenge of finding them elsewhere and luckily succeeded. Completely different end of the lake and they were bruisers. Biggest was 13.2 on the digital scale, smallest was 10.6
  17. All the ramps are great. Locations just vary depending on the time of year and what you are fishing for. Crappie are on the banks everywhere and biting great right now.
  18. These are from a couple of days ago. They are starting to do their top water thing. I won't divulge exact spots, but just cruise until you see 8 boats with 5-6 people each in overalls. They have been following my boat since they crowded me at the weir. You might as well just butt in as they have no problem doing it to me or anyone else. As soon as anyone catches a hybrid, they will move to within 20 ft of you and cast lures within 3 ft of your boat. I don't think they are trying to be rude, I think it is just not considered rude in their culture? Better find them quick. The last 2 spots they did this to me at were fished out within a week, only leaving tons of whites in those areas. Pretty sure they show up 8 boats strong almost every evening because everytime I get to go back and fish, they either all show up or already on my waypoints when I get there, lol. I don't let it bother me too much anymore. Just challenges me to find them in another area of the lake and try to hide as long as I can, lol. Anyways, they are definitely biting great right now. Smallest fish in the pic is 7.2 lbs. Biggest was 13.4 lbs. That is a 152qt cooler. Good luck!

  20. Back in coves. Probably close to the bank right now. Or look for them flipping on the surface. Cut bluegill and creek chubs will work better than livers.
  21. For sure the catalog outlet. If they have whatever you're looking for in there, it will be very hard to find it cheaper anywhere else.
  22. Correct and correct. You could also launch at Sapps and head down towards Avery
  23. I would get cut shad, launch at Avery, up the pomme arm, and fish current seams (eddies) on the inside bends of sharp corners. We caught several slots and a 39 lber yesterday afternoon/ evening.
  24. Biggest was 11.8 lbs Here is the zoo from yesterday. 8 more boats showed up after I took this pic They were landing lures within 3ft of my boat
  25. I don't usually like telling location as I already have boats that see me catching them and some how accidentally get within 6 feet of me even when I am fishing with my girls, but one of the places I have been catching them the last week is at the weir in front of the dam. I know this a known spot, but nobody knew they were there and I have had it to myself for a week, but literally had vehicles stopping on the dam to watch me 4 days ago. I know it sounds crazy, but I assure you I am not lying or exaggerating. Since then there has been an increasing amount of boats showing up daily. I was told there were 8 boats there today. That being said, I have only seen one other boat figure out how to catch them. All the other boats are catching whites and blue cats. Anyways, I tell everyone about this bite because it will only last another 3 to 4 days before they get the lake back to power pool of 706 and shut the water off and I choose not fight other boats. The other structure I have been finding them on is secondary points and flats adjacent to the main channel. Unfortunately, they move a lot. The hardest part of catching them is finding them. Good luck!
